WoI Name:
Mugen
Nicknames: Mug (Moog)
Pronunciation: (Moo ghen)
Why the name?:
I couldn't really find any samurai names that had a good meaning that fit to him and his life. I choose 'Mugen' because it sounds eerie and dark, which is exactly what I'm going for. 'Mugen' is a character on a samurai themed cartoon show (I found this out recently) and I liked the name so I thought it fit.
Personality:
Mugen is a loner, he has been since his family was killed. He's not social at all and avoids contact with other WoI at all costs. He's usually on his own, slinking through the darkness of his inner mind. He's a very trustworthy person, but first you have to gain his trust. The only two WoI in the world he trusts is Rayo and Soraya. He does what he wants, but isn't disrespectful. He's actually quite respectful to the ranks above him.
Loner
He's not social at all. If he's ever near anyone else, he'll turn tail and walk away. He was never a very social person, because when his parents died, no one consoled him. The only wolves that offered him any comfort were Rayo and Soraya. Since then no one's noticed him sulking around in the shadows, and that is exactly how he likes it to be.
Defensive
He's always very touchy about what people say about him. He always gets on edge when he hears his name in a conversation. He is also defensive in a way where he'll protect his fellow pack mates. He will always come to their aid if they're in need.
Loving
Despite being mean and tough he acutally loves pups and teenies. He likes being able to share his wisdom with them and to watch them grow and learn. If he had to go spend time with other WoI or pups, he'd definetely choose the pups.
Gender:
Male
Story:
The distant sound of thunder threatened to soak anyone unlucky enough to be caught under it's unforgiving storm. My father ran frantically to the remote den that he's found for his wife. It was in a completely different and much more wild part of Isket. My father padded quickly up the sodden red earth to the den my mother was in. Rain started to pour and made the earth below it soaked and slippery. Twice my father lost his grip, but had regained it quickly. He was carrying a large rodent type thing in his mouth that he'd caught for dinner. As he walked over the threshold of the cave he could sense something was amiss. He heard the whelping from the back of the cave. My mother was in labor and there was no one there to help them for they were part of the Unknown.
I remember waking up and seeing my parents weeping. I quickly saw why. My brother hadn't made it through the night. I wasn't really sad that he was gone. I'd never known him and so I couldn't really say I missed him. My parents burried him, gave him a brief goodbye, and carried on caring for me and my sister. In a few week's time we I was twice my height and was quite strong. My father decided to take my sister and I out to hunt. That's when everything changed.
It all happened so quickly that its hard to remember and explain fully but I'll try my best. My mother, father, sister, and I were just walking into the woods when we heard the vicious, deep growling of the Kronadors. I'd never heard this sound before in my life and my parents had never warned me of it so naturally I wanted to find out what it was. My parents only noticed I'd slipped off after they heard the growling increase. I realized that I should get away from the growling quickly and so I did, but I did too late. The Kronadors had scented me and my family and where in for the kill.
My mother and father picked my sister and I up and ran as fast as they could and as far away as they could. They dropped us and shouted "GO! RUN! GET OUT! We'll meet up with you just go!" My sister squeaked back "No! I can't leave you mommy! Daddy why?!" She ran after them and I ran after to stop her. I couldn't loose my sister. Not her. She had always been faster than me and I quickly lost her in the haze of the night. I was distraught, and what's more? I was trapped in a wall of kronadors. Every single one of them thought they were going to get a piece of me. All of a sudden I was picked up by the scruff and whisked away to a new territory. I never saw my parents again nor have I ever seen my sister since then.
I think I fell asleep on the way back to Rayo's den and when I woke up I had no idea where I was. I heard Soraya say gently to Rayo "Honey, he's waking up." Rayo came over and together they waited for me to get my senses. The first question I ask is "Where am I?" Rayo chuckled. "You're in my den. Where did you expect to be?" Now that I thought about it, I can't really remember where I lived. "I-I don't know." I said in reply to Rayo. He turned and said something to Soraya and she said "I thought so too." I believe they were agreeing that I was a wolf from the Unknown.
Months go by and I start training. At first it's very difficult and I feel so out of place. Some of the wolves in my class have already made cliques and have their own friends and I'm left alone. The training picks up and I start to get better and better. By the time I'm nine months old, I'm huge, strong, and a very good warrior. My first birthday and I'm a rank candidate. I've been training my butt off for the Scout position, for I think I would be the best at that, but realizing how inexperienced I am I would take any rank the Council decided to give me.
Now between all the exciting training and such, I've tried to make friends but have given up. Why have I given up you ask? Because all I hear when I'm around other wolves my age is "Where do you think he's from?" "He's so weird" and I especially hate when they ask me "Where did you come from?" I'm sick and tired of them asking me this stuff so my reply is "I don't know, leave me alone!" And they just walk away and talk about me some more.
"You ready?" My trainer says nudging me in the side. Adrenalin courses through me as I think about all the ranks and the possibilities. I hear my name called and I jump out of my skin, I walk slowly up to Rayo.
