If you prefer I can offer a different method of adoption - I choose first and will pick two pups but you have the option of keeping all of the remaining four. Would that make it easier? If not, you can stick with having first choice and keeping three of them

That's a risk you'd take if you want to go with the second option, which is why I don't usually offer it. It's sort of a trade off, I take 1 or 2 pups and you get 4 or 5 pups but in return for the extra pups there's a chance I take your favorite
