She giggled as he yelled hey in her direction. "You're adorable when you're mad." she teased, a common glint forming in her eye. She listened to him talk as she floated around, looking as though she was only paying half-attention. In truth she was paying full attention, but she was giving him the chance to try and pull a sly move. She was the fastest around! 'Excuse my cockiness.' she thought to herself. She watched the tip of her fin as it wavered in the moving water. At his comment about her not being able to protect her own territory she let go of another small giggle. Rolling over she swam up till she was face to face with him. There was still the glint in her eye as well as a fatal intensity. 'If looks could kill he would be six feet under.' She thought to herself. Creeping forward she made sure he had to back up till she had him cornered. "You don't even know if I can defend my territory. You're too scared to hit me." she said lightly. Giving a powerful push she went a little higher up before looping back again, now she was floating a few feet away.
She smirked, obviously having too much fun with this. Finding a rock that was decently flat she settled onto it. Now in a relaxed position she brought her hand up, her fingers pointing downwards. She flicked them back and forth in a dismissal action. "Now go play with your toys and leave the big kids to relax. I've lost my interst in you." she replied dimly. Brining her hand in front of her face she studied a small scar going across her knuckles. "Where is that from? Oh wait, I remember. I was chasing someone and cut it on a rock." she said to herself. Her eyes glanced over at the boy. "Be smart and leave, I'm able to beat you. Trust me." she said smugly. Her speed would outmatch his strength anyday. But she hadn't lost interst in him at all, the silent challenge in his green eyes had her hoping he would taunt her more and give her reason to fight back.

As the girl-Hollie let herself slip his whole body tensed. 'There's more like me?' He mentally slapped himself, she only said what I am, nothing more. He couldn't be sure. But she lived so close to the beach! A soft glimmer of hope passed across his eyes. "Because of what you are? Tell me, what exactly are you?" he asked cautiously. 'Oh please don't be some giant lake monster! Please!' he pleaded to whatever voice in his head would listen. He wanted one person like him that could be on land! Just one! That so much to ask for! He tried to hold all his excitement in, but he wasn't doing a very good job at it. "We both now know you're a horrible liar by that little cover up there Hollie. I heard your slip up so don't try and play it off." he told her quickly, the words pouring out of his mouth. Of course there were others like him! Why wouldn't there be! At that moment he really wanted to smack his forehead for sound so pushy. It had finally hit him about how he must have sounded! Gosh! His leg was bouncing up and down on his toes, slowly making a small hole where his foot came down every time.
