Ezvar gave a little smile "Of course you don't, no one ever does." he said speaking in baby talk as he stepped forward. He was only a little taller than her but he bent his knees a little and put his hands on them to give the illusion that he was a lot taller "And come on." he said, ruffling her hair "I thought you could already tell I was a jerk." he said, his smile revealing his own pointed teeth. He looked at his green eyes, almost taunting her.

((Just for Ali to do something...XD))
Ali finally got to the lidrary and sat down at one of the desks. She dropped her bag there and went over to talk to the librarian. She eventually found the books she had bbeen looking for and stacked them up beside her. She then opened her laptop and began top type, looking from the books to the screen, typing up an essay of some sort. She hated writing essays but it had to be done to pass her class.

Xione looked at Ezvar angrily, feeling his hand on her head. She was small like a child, but she had power frm fighting her family and everyone she ever met. Friends weren't things she needed. "Don't touch me, scum. Thy hand smells of soot and through that darkened smell is an ashy touch." She hissed, then froze. She spoke like that when she was in her home. It was normal then, but not now. "I-I mean..." She shook her head and took a step back, one hand to her head with the flooding of memories. This was... just terrible to her.

Elenwen wrote:Emma looked around wildly for Xander. She suddenly heard some one shouting and then a little kid crying. She just followed the sobbing and pushed her way back through the crowd though she really did hate it. She saw Xander finish yelling at a little boy who's ice cream had fallen onto Xander's shoes. Emma came over, her heart aching, the only thing she hated more than a little kid crying was being able to be held accountable for it. She came over and crouched down so she was at the little boy's level "It's ok, it's ok." she spoke softly and took the little boys hand when he had finally setteled down. "Here. Now where is your mommy." she said standing back up. A very angry looking woman with her arms crossed and another little kid by her side glared at both of them. Emma could feel her face go red, "Here's five dollars. Tell your mommy she can get you another ice cream and that we are very sorry." Emma gave the boy a little guide over towards his mom but then she turned to Xander. "You know I don't like crowds and that is certainly no way to talk to a little child." She scolded, wagging her fingure in his face, a hand on her hip.

Ezvar scolled and moaking his experssion was Devil that flew behind him. He rolled his eyes "I don't need a partner, I can do perfectly fine on my own! I managed myself for eighteen years but then some idiot was stupid enough to kill my girlfriend!" he hissed. He couldn't control anyone elses actions, if they caused hima problem then he had perfect right to take revenge for it. He glared at the girl, why was she still here? He crossed his arms and tapped his foot as he leaned against on of the lamp posts.

Xander just looked at Emma. "...I", he stuttered. People were watching, stopping, staring. "...What are you looking at? GO? KEEP MOVING! You all seemed to be in such a rush before this happened!" He was mad, but he was going to get scolded by Emma. "I'm sorry, he just..It just, I just..FINE YOU WIN ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?" Xander yelled it when he was closer to Emma. The boy had a hard time with his feelings, sadness came out not really much, anger and revenge..That was his main emotions, the thing he was stuck with forever..

~ Sarikana Lesh ~

Sarikana Lesh sat on the wall, her legs swinging. She was five minutes early, so it wasn't really surprising that Victor Needleman hadn't arrived yet. Still, as good a partner as Victor was Sarikana was glad she had reached the park before him. She needed some time alone, to sort her thoughts out. She should stop trying to wriggle out of meetings, to avoid him as much as possible. She knew she wasn't being fair. It wasn't Victor's fault that her emotions made it hard for her to be around others. Especially now. This was one of the worst times for her, a time when despair was one of her main emotions. And anger. That was pretty strong for her now, too. It was just as well the gardens were empty. If anyone were to be around her right now, she would probably lose control. Her stomach felt like a deep pit as she ran her fingers over the surface of a rose hanging over onto the fence. Calm. She told herself, struggling not to start sending balls of flame. Fire was her element, and whenever she lost control it wasn't long before she started an infernio. Calm, stay calm. It was hard. But the rose in her hand still hadn't turned to ashes, so she must be managing. She wondered what it must be like to be a Phantom if it was so bad for the Lost Haikajin. It would be worse for them. But as she fought to keep her tears in - crying would be admitting defeat - she decided she couldn't possibly imagine anything worse then this.

Sarikana checked her watch. Two minutes. Victor would be here in two minutes. In two minutes, she would have to stop being so hysterical, and gather herself. Victor. His name snapped at something in her mind, though she didn't quite realise what. All she knew was that she could now keep control over her rage with a relative ease. But that could only mean that another emotion was surfacing. Fear? No, it couldn't be fear. It felt nothing like fear. Ther was only one other emotion she had, though. Love. But that made no sence. She wasn't in love with Victor. They were partners, no more. No romantic implications. He was a human, she was a Haikajin. She had lost all her chances at becoming a human long ago.

One more minute. Victor would be here in one minute. She had to compose herself. Sarikana thought of Victor, always calm. Never panicking, or shouting, or bursting into tears. Her complete opposite. Maybe that was why they had become partners. She wished she could be like that, too. Cool and collected, responsible. Yes, she needed someone like him to keep her balanced out. She really had no idea how some Haikajins could manage without a partner. Perhaps their emotions weren't as pontent and overwhelming as hers were. Then she thought of all those phantoms. Sarikana had always been convinced that it must be worse for them, but was it really? Could it not truly be some sort of a release? No, she couldn't think like that. Selling her soul to become one was just pure... wrong. Evil. Sarikana refused to be evil. Sure she was instinctive, prone to anger rushes in which she was capable of even killing people. But that was what Victor was meant to do, right? Keep her in check? She felt tears streaming down her cheeks. A few more seconds. In a few more seconds, Victor would be here.....

ΩVictor NeedlemanΩ
ΩSurvial of the SmartestΩ

Victor walked calmly with hishands in his pockets as he made hisway to the park. He wouldn't be late of course. Victor was never late. He never dallied or stopped for useless things. He remained a calm sence of self awareness almost all the time. The complete opposite of his partner, Sarikana Lesh. Even with zvictor's knowledge in the social sciences, he had a hard time understanding her. He had researched her species and knew almost all there was to know about Haikajins. Somehow, he always felt like he never knew all of her. No matter how hard he studied.

Victor didn't hate anything worse than not knowing. It made him feel like a child being denied information because they weren't old enough to be told the truth. Victor was much older, and he wanted the truth. Of course there was no real wayof asking someone how to understand and knwo all of them without being accused of being a stalker.

Victor looked down at his watch. 'One minute.' He thought to himself as he neared the entrance to the park. He walked inside and paused to check his surroundings. It was quite a pleasant little place. He had no time for such idle pleasures though. He then procceded to go and find Sarikana. After all, whatkind of example would he be setting if he were to be late?

As he walked, he began to think of balance. Sometimes, he wondered abotu the rule, opposites attract...He had always applied it a a natural law, and never really looked into it. Now that he thought about it, it kind of applied to his partnership with Sarikana. The two were opposite species and opposite genders, but that was only part of the equation. They also had opposite equations. The balanced each other out. This created absolute zero, or a perfect balance. Nothing too high, or too low.

It wasn't long before Victor spotted Sarikana nd he ran up to her. "Sorry I was almost late."
He said as he watched his watch turn exactly to time. He looked back up at her and saw the glistening of tears running down her face. "Tears..." He stated, as if in oblivion. "Why are you crying?" He asked calmly, his voice as smooth as ice.

~ Sarikana Lesh ~

Sarikana Lesh looked up, seeing Victor walk over. "You were perfectly on time, as usual.," she stated, trying hard to keep her voice steady. "I'm fine. It's just... you know what my emotions are like. I can't control them." She sighed, standing up. This time, keeping calm became a lot harder. The petal on her lap burst into flame. Sarikana gave a light, humorless laugh. "You'd have at least thought I'd have gained a better control of my elements by now, though.," she added as the lights nearby went out. Darkness, her second element. Finally, she forced herself to sit down. "I hate this! I hate all of this! I just want to be human." Again tears started pouring down her cheeks uncontrolably. Sometimes, she wondered how Victor, always so cool and collected, managed to deal with her. He never burst spontaniously into tears, or felt rushes of anger or fell completely, utterly in love. Sarikana sighed again. How did Victor always manage to be so totally in control? She give anything to be like that. Sarikana shivered, pulling a coat from her bag. It shuldn't be so cold here, she supposed, but....

The pleasant scent of roses seemed to tease her, as if trying to rub it in how she should be enjoying the place, though she wasn't. Every bird seemed conviinced to chirp until Sarikana was forced to put her hands to her ears to block it all out. She hated this place. It was odd, how, coming in through the gates, her first instinct had been to love it. Well, she didn't love it now any more. She couldn't stand it. Her bag clattered to the ground leaving all its contents to pour out. Sarikana didn't bother kneeling down to pick them up. She didn't care. Instead, she got to her feet and ran, trying hard to get as far away from here as possible. God, how had she ever navigated this park? It was like a maze. She could seem to find head nor tail of it. Finally, giving up, she tripped and stumbled into a bed of lilies. She stayed there. She didn't want to get up. She wasn't crying anymore - she was sobbing. Tears splashing down, down....

Ezvar raised an eyebrow at Xione's strange words. A cautiouse look crossed his face but then passed with a a sly little smile "Seems someones been reading a little to much Shakespeare." he chuckled. Devil landed on his shoulder and gave Xione almost as odd a look as Ezvar had. Ezvar crossed his arms again and stood up. He knew something was wrong but it seemed to him to only way to get infromation out of people was by getting them angry and then they'd shout the answers to your questions straight in your face.
--
"That depends," Emma said, her voice sad and childish "Are you happy? My job is to make sure your are alright and I plan to do that." She realized it was a stupid question; Xander didn't have happiness but she could at least make sure he was feeling alright. She needed him to calm down and if that meant getting him to riducule her instead of everyone else than that's what she would do.

Xione growled a little, tuning her head to the side. "Hmph... That idiot was just a crackpot... Nasty fellow..." She muttered under her breath, just wanting to get it out, but not tip off Ezvar to how old she was. "I don't read into that... guy." She said in a reserved way. She wasn't going to let her anger get the better of her, again... Made a fool of because she couldn't keep a secret back then, but now, she was all she had. Her, her partner, and her secrets. She wanted to keep from exposing herself. She lost people, and with them went her dreams. Not again will that happen... Not again... Xione was shaking, her shoulders tense. Khana could feel it, sense it. SHe mewed soothingly into Xione's ear in attempt to calm her.

"Miss Xione... You can't be so upset all the time. Please don't let him get to you." Khana mewed, rubbing against Xione's head. Xione just shadowed her eyes. "Y-You aren't helping..." She hissed quietly back at Khana, but in truth, Khana helped a little. Khana always knew how to help.

((Thanks you don't know how long it took to find XD))

Ezvar gave her a sad look "Man, even I had to read that garbage, Romoe, Romoe where art thou and all that." he rolled his eyes, he really hated those plays. He didn't see the point in studying things of the past, what use would they be in the present. He noticed Xione whispering with her cat "I see I'm not the only one who talks to the little creatures that stalk me." He said, glancing over at Devil with a warning look. Devil gave a little smile that was exactly the same as his masters, his eyes also had the same sly look in his eyes.

Xione turned around to face Ezvar again and shouted in anger. "Shut up!" She practically shrieked. Luckily, not many were outside at the moment. All who were watched, however. "Khana is not a little creature. She is a part of my soul. I can feel her." Xione said, shutting her eyes along with Khana in unison. In a moment, they opened their eyes, but the colour of their right eyes were switched. "If you had more power, then just maybe you could share with your partner too, and that... human you have to tag along with you." Xione hissed, turning on her heels again. She couldn't bring herself to move though. She was still shaking on the spot, something coarsing through her that made her feel helpless. Khana couldn't do anything but flick her tail at the back of Xione's head. Nothing happened.

Ezvar gave another little smile, his sharp teeth showing. He walked over quietly so he was behind her, "Come on, I'm not that hard to be around?" he whispered though he didn't dare to get to close "You might not find your pet annoying but mine is sure as hell." he said, glaring yet again at Devil, who just shrugged his tiny disporportainate shoulders. He was almost a miniature replica of Ezvar in the way he acted. Ezvar scolded at the creature and then turned back to Xione "I'n not that bad?" he asked, most of the time he found peoples anger with him funny but this time he didn't.
