3)*Sudden Inspiration*

The sound of helicopter blades filled the air, the sky overcast and dark. A herd of wild horses ran in fear from the machine, a giant moving mass of horses headed straight for the BLM corrals. One mare stood out, her beautiful chocolate coat and light colored mane standing out from the others. She galloped bravely at the front of the herd, her determined blue eyes fixed on the terrain ahead. There were human fences, tall ones, but she might be able to jump them. Her herd was depending on her to get them back to the valley safely.

The mare increased her speed, her nostrils flaring as her hooves thundered ever closer to the fencing. Turning back to look at the rest of her herd, she saw some break off and flee in other directions. That was ok; she'd find them again. Turning back to face the leap, she thundered through the open gate and without stopping pushed off with her powerful hind legs, soaring gracefully over the tall fencing. She might as well have had wings. The humans, in shock at her amazing feat, were unable to stop some of the herd that escaped back through the gate which they entered, the mare calling to them and attempting to gallop off. But a few cowboys had been smart; they new mustangs were intelligent and had stayed on their own horses. Two of them took off, lassoing the mare quickly.

"Smart one, aren't you girl?" One of the men commented.

"Very," the other replied. "What should we call this one?"

"Eagle Feather," he replied confidently. "She's colored similar to an eagle, and can sure fly like one."

Soon after the mare, now dubbed "Eagle Feather", was put into an isolation corral with fences much too high to jump. She squealed and neighed, rearing and galloping in circles all around her enclosure. After a couple of days she calmed enough to just ignore the constant comings and goings of humans, and focused on finding an escape route. Then one day a girl and her father came to adopt a mustang; the father wanted a good cow horse and the girl wanted a jumper.

"I have the perfect horse for you," the cowboy who had named the mare told them. "This is Eagle Feather. She's a hardy, young mare, and you wouldn't believe how high she can jump. She's a wild spirit though; it'll take a lot to break her."

"That's alright," the father replied. "We'll take her."

And with that, Eagle Feather found her first family. The ranch hands tried many times to break her, but most ended up injured. One ranch hand in particular had almost broken her when she gave a sudden twisting buck, throwing him off and into the nearby corral fence. He sustained a severe concussion, and refused to ride her again. The father, despite his daughter's protests, was very angry with the outcome and threatened to shoot the mare where she stood. Eagle Feather just stared him down with intense blue eyes, as if daring him to pull a gun on her.

"Sir, why don't we just take her to the local shelter? Let her be someone else's problem," one of the ranch hands suggested.

"Fine," the father huffed. "Just get the wretched animal off my ranch."

That truly hurt Eagle Feather, and she was taken to the local shelter the next day. (Local shelter=here)

4) Eagle Feather, mare. "Eagle" for short.

3) He was an outcast. A Nobody. Socialy inept, the pushover, the one always left behind. But that didn't mean he was a bad horse. All he wanted was to belong, to have a friend.

It all started when he was just a foal. At first, they all had been friendly and kind to him. He was a nice foal, sweet and innocent, just like foals should be. Plus he was beautiful, his coat more unique then anyone else, and the golden parts were dark mahogany brown when he was born. But soon the other foals didn't want to play with him. He grew faster then anyone else and was soon towering over the other foals. He intimidated them, so they never wanted to play with him. Eventually he became more and more insecure and self-concious and became extremely awkward around other horses. By the time he was 3 he was an outcast. He didn't want to leave the herd, he hated being alone, but no one wanted him around. Whenever he tried to interact with the others, they pushed him away.

"Nobody wants you here!"
"Nobody's listening to you!"
"Nobody cares what you think!"

Soon he became known as 'Nobody' He hated the name, but nobody cared what he thought. The only horse that wanted him around was his mother, but she was getting elderly and didn't have much influence over the other horses. She was the only one who didn't call him Nobody, instead she called him Bo.

Not many years later, Bo's mother passed away. Within days Bo was pushed from the herd once and for all, forced to wander alone. By now his coat had lightened up a fair amount from the mahogany and white colour it once was, to a light chestnut and white coat. He was filling out nicely and looked like a very healthy stallion.

Eventually Bo found his way into a large wood, and that was were he wandered for several months. His only companions were the birds and the squirrels that lived there, but that wasn't much of a comfort.

One day, while wandering through the woods he came to a fast-moving stream. It wasn't very deep, only up to Bo's knees, but moving very quickly. He stopped for a drink, and, right before he finished, he heard high pitched squeals and shrieks coming from upstream. He paused mid-swallow and tilted his head to hear better. Sure enough, the sounds got closer and closer, but Bo still couldn't figure out what they were.

Bo took a step into the cold stream to get a better look around the bend. Still, he couldn't see what it was. He took another step in, then another. Still he couldn't see anything.

Then, suddenly, a little brown thing came swooshing down the stream right towards Bo, shrieking all the way. It was very big, only the size of his head. Bo quickly maneuvered to a spot that he could stop the brown thing from going farther down the stream by stretching out one of his front legs to block it from passing. It hit his leg, causing him to stumble in the rushing water enough, but not enough to knock him over. Slowly and carefully he guided it to the shore. It uncurled and Bo realized that it was a young fawn. The fawn unfurled her legs carefully and stood up. She shook the water out of her coat and then stared up at Bo with wide eyes.

The fawn was nervous, but not scared of Bo. She stood there, almost frozen, for a good minute before starting to walk off. Bo followed her, not quite sure what to do. She was just a young thing, not old enough to be by herself, but what could he do? He followed her for awhile, then she followed him. In the evening she found a place to sleep and he stood asleep nearby, a bit on guard. They spend a few weeks like this, following each other and just kind of wandering the forest together.

It wasn't the same as having another horse around, but it was still a bit of a comfort to Bo to know that someone didn't mind having him around.

Eventually, the two found another group of deer and among them was the fawn's mother. The fawn left with them, but not until she walked right up to Bo, looked him in the eye and then reared onto her hind legs to rest her dainty forefeet on his nose. It was as if she was saying good-bye to him.

Not long after Bo found the Shelter of Lost Souls. It was just the thing he needed, a chance for a new life with new people. He was a lonely stallion with a not-so-very happy past, and by now he was a lovely palomino gold and white horse. It was just the perfect chance for him at a new life.

3) Story of this horse.
The large white trailer pulled up in front of our barn where we stood waiting for it to arrive. We had only seen pictures of our new Appaloosa Paint stallion online and now was going to be the first time we met him in person. We were told he was a tad wild and very large, but that was about the only thing we knew besides his looked. Two large men in matching uniforms hopped out of the truck that was pulling the trailer and walked towards us. "I'm guessing your this stallions new proud owners?" one of the large men asked and my instructor and I both nodded. They asked us to stand back as they lowered the back of the trailer's door to the ground and that was the first time I saw my dream horse. With his chest pushed up against the stress bar, our new stallion was trying to get the last bit of hay out of his feed bag, totally oblivious to what was going on around him. On of the large men un-hooked him and clipped a lead rope to his leather halter, while the other large man unhooked the stress bar so the stallion could walk out. As the two men walked the stallion out of the trailer, the stallion looked up and saw us. He stepped back, a little startled, but the man holding his lead pulled him and he continued walking. "Is he going in a paddock?" the man leading the stallion asked my instructor. "Yes, we have a paddock all set up for him," my instuctor answered and showed the man where he was to put our new horse. I stayed behind, watching the horse walk and seeing how he acted. He was rather calm until he got into the paddock. As soon as the man un-clipped the lead from him, the horse began to gallop at top speed and buck around the paddock. My instructor looked shocked but the handler told her "He's been in that trailer for three days. He will calm down once he's let all his energy out." And he was right. After our new horse had raced around his new paddock at least 12 times, bucked at least 20 times, and rolled around for at least 2 minutes, he came to the corner where we were standing, put his head over the fence and sighed. I walked over to him and put my hand out. He sniffed my hand and to my surprise, he licked it. I giggled and scratched his forelock and rubbed his nose. The two men who had brought him announced they had to leave and my instructor payed them for their troubles and they left. I clipped a lead rope to the new stallion and brought him into the barn, as it was almost dinner time. I put him into a large stall and filled two water buckets and clipped them to him stall. He stuck his nose into the one closest to him and began playing with the water. I giggled and went to get his food. I gave him a small bucket of sport feed mixed with some supplements his previous owner said he needed to preform at his highest performance and a flake of hay and brought it back to his stall. By that time, he had thrown half the bucket of water all over his face and was looking very confused. I poured his feed into the black triangular feed bucket in the corner of the stall and threw the flake of hay down for him so when he finished his meal, he wouldn't get board. I watched him eat, making sure he got everything he was supposed to and then put him out into the paddock after he finished his hay. My instructor called me into her office and asked me if that name we planned to give him was still okay. "Yep, I still want to name him Mix." My instructor nodded and said that her friend would be over tomorrow to give us the name plate that would go on his stall. I smiled and informed her that he had eaten everything I gave him and that I put him out in the paddock. She nodded and gave me the okay to go home.
The next morning, I woke up and made my mother drive me to the barn very early. When I got there, Mix was standing at the gate with his head over the fence, as if he was waiting for me to get there. I walked into the barn and grabbed his feed, refilled the water buckets he had playfully destroyed last night, and threw down a flake of hay in his stall and went out to get Mix. He was now waiting by the fence closest to the barn. "Hey Mix man," I rubbed his nose and ducked under the fence to enter the paddock. "Wanna go ride?" I asked him and I clipped the lead rope to his halter and led him inside. I put him on cross ties in the center of the aisle and grabbed my grooming things out of my tack box. I brushed him all over and did his hooves and went to get my tack. The bridle from my previous horse fit him almost perfectly. I put my light blue saddle pad on him, a half pad on top of it, and my saddle on top of the half pad and tightened his girth. i grabbed my helmet and put on my boots and yelled to my instructor that I was ready to ride. As I walked into the large indoor ring, my instructor walked out of her office with her cell phone up to her ear. I closed the gate to the ring and my instructor finished her call and walked up to the fence. I mounted Mix, and walked over to her. "How does he feel?" She asked me. "Large," I answered and giggled. I proceeded to walk him around the ring once and then picked up a trot. He threw his head and kicked up his back legs a little, but calmed down as we trotted around. I kept talking to him, saying things like "Good boy," or "Good boy Mix," or the occasional "Good boy Mixxy,". I trotted circles in front of the place where my instructor was standing so she could see how he moved and how his strides were.
(finishing this tomorrow. I still have 1 1/2 more chapters to write :3 )
4) Name and gender of horse. Mix em' Up (Barn name is "Mix"); Stallion.
5) What will you do with this horse? I plan to turn Mix into a character and add him as one of my prized stallions. I also plan to get art of him as well as make art of him. I also would like to continue his story and possibly use him as a horse in a sim or game since his colors are so beautiful.
6) Payment.

1) Name yourself.

2) Number of horse you want.
Four [4]

3) Story of this horse.

A rather lonely stallion stood beneath a pathetic excuse for a tree, staring up into the dark star-dotted sky with his gleaming sky blue eyes. The ragged, brown leaves tumbled down to the chilly ground as the fall season rolled in. This stallion, whom all knew as Ahtahkakoop, was rather focused on these lights in the sky the humans called "stars", he was searching for someone. When he was just a colt, his mother had always told the young Appaloosa that even when she left him, he would always be able to find her if he searched hard enough in the maze of brilliant stars. He knew it was just an old mare's tale that she told him to make him feel better when she was about to go into war, but Ahtahkakoop couldn't help but believe that at least part of it was true.

He was searching for his mother frantically, trying to make shapes out of the scattered stars. His mother had died in the Great War of Xiuhcoatl, named after Native American god that represented drought and scorched earth. This certain war, that dragged on for seven years, was named so for the raging wild fires and extended droughts that actually killed most of the war's victims; including Ahtahkakoop's mother. The Appaloosa stallion with caramel colored leopard markings sighed as he was not able to find anything, no matter how hard his blue eyes searched. He almost gave up up entirely, until he heard the voice of a wise young mare.

"Ahtahkakoop, why have you called upon me darling?" The voice asked in a sweet, but confused tone. The image of a mare appeared in the sky, made up of the gleaming stars. Ahtahkakoop jumped back, a highly startled expression plastered on his freckled face. His eyes immediately shot up from the ground to the sky, the darkness illuminated and alive with the figure of a mare hanging in the sky. He felt just like a young foal once again, believing in the magic of his mother's tales as he once did.

"W-what?...How can this be? I-I thought you had been forever lost in the sea of stars in the heavens." Ahtahkakoop said with great amazement. He couldn't believe what was in front of his eyes.

"Don't you remember my little Ahtahkakoop? I told you the stories of the Star Blanket; I told you that wherever I happened to, you could easily find me there." His mother explained, with a gentle voice.

"T-the stories were true?" Ahtahkakoop asked in awe. He felt just a little foolish for ever doubting his mother. He had never believed her because he though that proper chiefs were never supposed to believe in such silly legends, as he thought they hazed and clouded his thoughts and decisions. He was the chief of the Cherokee Herd after all, he had an image to maintain. On the inside though, Ahtahkakoop was secretly a dreamer, completely believing in even the wildest fantasies.

"Of course they were true! Why would I lie to you, sweetheart?" His mother exclaimed, her voice a bit hurt.

"I don't know, I just that they were old mare's tales that you told me to comfort me before you went off to war." Ahtahkakoop explained, not wanting to hurt his mother's feelings. He looked up innocently toward the mare in the sky, she looked just a bit sad. The sight of that almost made Ahtahkakoop tear up a bit, but he kept strong for his mother's sake, despite naturally being an emotional stallion.

"Darling, I will always be with you, I just want you to know that." His mother said in a comforting voice.

"What if it's not night and I can't see the stars. Where will you be then?" Ahtahkakoop asked, his voice a bit hopeless.

"Look inside your heart my beloved little chief." His mother explained in an endearing voice. "And never let me fade from your memories Ahtahkakoop, never let me fade." The mare in the sky added, a smile appearing on her dainty face. With that, the mare quickly faded from the stars, leaving and array of twinkling stars arranged in random patterns once more. Ahtahkakoop could feel the sting of a warm tear trickle down his slender face.

"I won't mother, I won't"

4) Name and gender of horse.
Ahtahkakoop; Male.

[ His name means "star blanket" in Cree. ]

5) What will you do with this horse?
He would be a very important character for me as he would be one of the lead stallions of the four main herds in one of my plots. I would love to write about him often and he would have a pretty significant role in those stories. I would also really like to try my hand at drawing him, as his design is stunning and looks like a fun challenge to recreate. I would of course order art of him too and he would get his own character page on my character website. I would possibly RP him too, I'd really love to develop his character further as well. <3

6) Payment.

She went and hid under the shade of a tree.Weeks passed and a lone mare found her.She mare had just watched her own colt run off and still had some milk AnnaBell drank what the mare had left and fell asleep in the shade. When she woke up she was in a cave."Horse dl you know your name?"A loud deep voice boomed.
"A-A-AnnaBell...Where am I?"AnnaBell shivered and stood on the cold ground.A large dragon walked out and looked down at her.His deep red scales looked black in the dim light of the cave. His eyes glowed bright red."You are in Mayleah. This is the great dragon cave. You have been brought here by Melekay. He found alone under a tree on Earth."
Over the next year Anna grew with dragons and learned the dragon law.She had began to get lonely being the only horse there. A month later AnnaBell ran off the find her purpose.((Here it would branch off to find either one of my characters in the different stories.))
