Jane: Red hair. Practical. Co-worker energy. Park ranger at El Yunque in Puerto Rico. Child of diplomats, an upbringing which has led her to be an enabler. She thinks she's the only voice of reason - please do not be fooled, there is something deeply wrong with her. Dating Ophelia - hates when she calls her "Watson", but never complains. In love with Ophelia, but feels that it's impossible to truly live with her due to how big her ego is. Current plan is to arrange a time-travel murder mystery in order to humble Ophelia forever. Motifs: Puerto Rican Parrot, caged bird flying free, blooming wildlife.
Ophelia: Black hair. Biggest ego imaginable. Diversity win, the insufferable amateur detective archetype has a female entry! Illusionist - not a magician, she insists, since she always acknowledges how fake what she does it. Will proudly tell somebody how a magic trick was done, since her skill is so good that she thinks she can impress people even when they aren't being fooled. Obsessed with the golden age of detective fiction. Despite her many many flaws, she loves Jane truly and without any pretense. Motifs: magicians tricks, fireworks, oldschool Hollywood glamor.
i'd like the pose to be something of them like. being in love but also there is something deeply sinister going on underneath. if it's a solo Ophelia piece, then I want her to do something magician or detective related, smug and deeply joyous.
