The two of you walk south, following the sound of the rolling waves. Theodora hums to herself frequently, but doesn't seem to notice that she's doing it. The sound is very soothing to your ears, and is almost hypnotic with the waves in the background. She asks you about the ocean, so you explain. She seems very excited to see it, and smiles a little at the thought.

When you arrive, she is mesmerized by the size of the water. "Come on!" You say, rushing down the sandy beach to the water's edge. The waves are cold against your feet, but the bright sun counter acts it. Theodora comes down after you and gasps as she steps in. "It's freezing!" She squeals. The two of you laugh and play in the water for a couple of hours, until the wind picks up. As you walk back up the beach, you look over to Theodora and see her beaming. She meets your gaze for a moment, and looks down, dropping her smile with embarrassment.

After looking around for quite some time, you find yourself lingering around one Companion in particular. A little boy, curled up in the grass, his thumb just touching his lip. The name Max rings through your mind, and somehow you know that it belong to him. The old man pills you inside his hut, and after some bartering, you emerge with your new companion. You sit with your back against a tree as little Max sleeps. As you wait for him to wake up, the sun starts to set. The grass around you starts to feel very comfortable. "Maybe I'll just close my eyes for a minute or two..." You think to yourself.

"Why drop the smile? Trust me, it's nothing embarrassing to be smiling after being in the ocean!" I think back on all the fun times I've had frolicking in the waves, and my first wipe-out. Chuckling, I begin the story.

Poppyfern
You wake to the sound of laughter, and soft, rhythmic thumps. Confused, you stand up. Sitting behind a log, is Max. He's woken up, and is squashing ants with his feet, making little rawrs and roars. He seems to hear you getting up, and turns around. You're surprised and astounded by his deep green eyes. He's wearing a little onsie with a green dinosaur on the front. He beams up at you.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I'm finally awake!" He says quickly and loudly, squeezing his little arms around you. "Now I can PLAY!" Giggling, he turns back to the ant pile he found and starts dropping large rocks on it. Your a little concerned for the ants, but he looks like he's having so much fun, you don't know whether or not to stop him. Maybe if you give him something else to do instead? You look around.You can see a mountain peeking above the trees to the north. Below that to the south you can hear the crashing of waves. The dense forest is to the east and across from it is what appears to be a swamp. Maybe you could take him somewhere?

Theodora let's her smile come back as you tell her your story. Near the end you think you can hear her laughing, but it's hard to tell with her voice. "The sun's almost down." She says. "Can we sleep on the beach? The sand is so warm from the sun. I wish I could stay here forever." Theodora says, starting to hum again.


LunaRose1
You pick your way through the sleeping creatures, not sure whether or not you should be trying not to wake them. How long have they been here, you wonder. You spot a beautiful girl a little ways off, and walk over, careful not to step on any others. Now up close, you can see she has a stern face. She appears to be rather unhappy. Maybe you can fix that? You knock on the door of the old man's hut, and point her out to him. He pulls you inside, and after some discussion, you emerge with your new Companion. It's getting dark already, and your pretty tired. You decide to stay in the clearing for the night, laying down next to her. You take one more look at her before falling asleep, and the name "Ariel" rings through your mind.
