Do you have a recreated pet?

Recreated pets are pets that have been remade for various reasons. They have the same release date of their original, but a different ID.

From the FAQ:

Why is my pet appearing in the wrong place in my group? / Adoption date does not match group placement?

Sometimes pets have to be recreated for various reasons. When this is done, the pet is assigned the next possible ID number. Though the adoption date is manually changed to the correct one, groups are sorted by ID number and the pet will appear according to its ID number rather than its date. It's perfectly normal and doesn't affect the pet or its value.

I have one! She’s a 2009 but sorts with mid-2010 IDs. I remember when I first got her, I didnt know why it sorted out of date and I thought it had a “custom” date. I now know (I learned in 2021 why the pet sorted differently) but i’ve kept her name the same since I got her because its funny c: I’ve had her since 2018!

These are pretty cool but could also be annoying. Are they worth less or more than regular pets? Anyone is free to offer their opinion.

This is, as far as I know, the only one of mine that was recreated. It's a 2010 liontail but it sits with the 2014 pets in my group (here). It's in between my February and April store pets, so it must have been recreated sometime near March 2014. It wasn't recreated for me, I traded for it in 2017 and had no idea. I can never find it when I'm looking for it these days lol!

I don't think I've ever seen anyone pay more or less for one than anything else!

Very close, looks like 2014-04-07 from the ID of nearby pets. Only one German Shepherd sibling.

I have not seen anyone trade less for them, mostly because I feel they're overlooked. People generally don't notice the order of pets in a trade window. I also don't think there's that many going around, which is one of the reasons I'm wanting to pinpoint some dates. There's not much information on them other than they just exist due to some situation.
