The Thread's Purpose
The guides I found were, as a better word, abandoned over time. Collections were not continued and the user either lacked interest or was simply gone. Me with my own collection found it difficult to find the specific pets and numbers for the species as well as a good name list for the newest pets on Chicken Smoothie. By no means am I a specialist nor the best choice, but I want to try and give everyone a good chance to find what they need. In this thread, I am to make a Transparency Guide (Formerly "Here" by Nynecho) as well as a continued Name List Guide and Counting Guide.
Please note that the transparent images here are courtesy to the wonderful site Chicken Smoothie Transpets.

Why This Guide?
Ever wanted to make a complete collection? You want to get everything at least once? Great! Then go count the Archive and get a number wrong and start again... That, at least, was most of the time my experience with most guides as they were not continued and I needed to do it myself. It works, but is in my opinion a hassle to do. Which is why I want to work on this to help others and get the lists clean and orderly for easy and quick use. It will most likely not be the last guide and I do not take credit for the idea. But I would like to continue where others stopped.

Ok so for the bettas this is wholly me being nitpicky about bettas bc I am more or less obsessed with them. Like the real life fish I mean.

1- you refer to some as splendens bettas, and some as crowntail bettas. those you refer to as splendens (2009, 2013) are actually specifically veiltails. both veiltails and crowntail bettas are cultivated splendens varieties. splendens is sort of an umbrella term for domestic betta fish.

2- starting in 2010 you repeatedly spell betta with only one t, i dont know if this is intentional or not. i assume not?

1. I honestly have never owned a Betta nor know anything about them, so I apologize ^^° I looked up pictures of Bettas and tried to narrow it down by their names, that it was a more main topic for them I am not aware of. Thanks for pointing that out! This is why I want people to comment on it. Care to help me out which would be their more specific terms? I guess the ones I mostly named "Splendens Betta" are "Veilteil Betta"?

2. And no... that was not intentional. Betta in my language is spelled with only 1 T, so I must have slipped there. I will correct that once I have your next input so I don't need to do it three times or so

Truly awesome idea! I've been striving to name all of my pets, but a lot of more or less 'official' guides were given up on, and I'm left with my own, pretty poor, mind you, imagination.

I will continue in a bit, just got a bit of a handful with two unruly kittens, but I plan to complete guides ^^
I split up with DaDwarf a few guides so yep, that's gonna be helpful for everyone eventually to keep them up on track.
My goal is to try and update every month if possible

Hi! There are some tiny mistakes in the Deer Guide:

1) you've doubled the buck below and named the double a Choco Galaxy Buck;

2) you've swapped the names of Green Rainbob Buck and Choco Galaxy Buck;

3) you've doubled the images of Grey coffee Buck & Chocosun Doe, and then named them Tiki shima Doe & Calico Tab Doe;

4) I believe this goat below was identified as Black Bengal / Sable Sanaan Goat, but I can't find the source of this belief now;

5) I think this goat below was identified as Sanaan Goat;

6) Considering the Christmas setting, I suggest naming the below camels as:

Brown Spotted Camel || Cinnamon Roll Camel

Candy Cane Camel || Snowy Night Camel

7) This litter reminds of a lava lamp, don't you think? :3


8) Maybe a Brindle Litter?


9) Maybe a Valentines Flower Doe and a Valentines Hearts Buck?

This is a neat idea! I also want to get all of my pets named. I've been trying to follow some of the old naming guides, but like you have said, they aren't updated as frequently anymore. Thank you for doing this!!

I finished the Deer guide and made it up to 2021 now (still got 2 other guides to do eventually.)
Will check out the fixes and let you know once i am done with it!

Also, You are right about the goats! Found them with the name you provided!
