How Did You Get Your Most Valuable Pet?

Uhh I dont totally know if this is my most valuable butt I did get what I consider my most valuable during dec 18th when I got the UR flamingo! I actually was really bummed at first because I didn't realize it was a UR. So it was a bit of a shock for me when I found out that it actually was a new model and not some random item like I thought!

Heres the man the myth the legend (Side note I got his sign at the pound and was cackling when I saw it)

i actually just recieved my most valuable pet about 20 minutes ago so this was the best time for me to see this thread <3

a bit of backstory first, this pet isn’t the rarest pet ive had, but in terms of being valuable to me personally this is like.. it. this is the most valuable thing ive ever had. ever. i joined chicken smoothie in 2013 and chicken smoothie helped me a lot. it helped me get over hard times i was going through, it helped give me something to do when i couldnt face real life, not to make things too sad of course but chicken smoothie helped a lot. so, when i first joined i remember using this exact profile picture.
and i was obsessed with it. i used it for years (until i realized i could upload my own pfp hehe) but i was always obsessed with the ceg/beg. every trade i would ever make was just thinking about how i could eventually get it up to a ceg/beg.

and then. finally. 9 years later.
so much has happened, and ive went on hiatus and ive come back multiple times, and ive been going through one of the most stressful times of my life lately. getting this pet means so much more than just pixels to me, it means that no matter what i go through and no matter how hard it gets its okay to still be me. its okay to still love the things ive always loved, i dont have to change for anyone. i know youre probably thinking Wow it really isnt that serious please calm down but No!!!! it is that serious to me <3

As someone who's been around since 2009 I was lucky enough to get a lot of older pets (particularly store pets) for what would be considered ludicrously cheap prices today. I also received quite a few as gifts from friends or just incredibly kind strangers. These days I mostly rely on offsite trades and bulk trades.


I got my Skelebun as an art payment in 2014.

so my most valuable pet is not actually the “dream pet” that was most important to me to get. :0 mostly because the sitewide “demand” for some pets is much lower than my personal value for them. so I have a few examples:

my biggest dream on the site was the UR peach, and I spent months trading before deciding to convert all my fodder to C$ when I saw someone selling the peach. ended up trading 2005 c$ for it
and I mean this was legit months of effort for one pet. I would trade rares up to very rares up to stores up to mid demand pets like MAs up to high demand pets (distinctly remember a skeleton PPS), etc, and this was before the c$ successful trades thread, before c$ values had started to increase, so it was a huge struggle to get that much c$ even with the high value fodder I had. it was rough but I’m glad I made it.

My most valuable pet overall based on demand is probably the UR Bee, and that was 25% a result of CS trading and 75% a result of offsite trading. you can see the trade I made here; I bought some store pets and traded for others, but the sorb and the cinnabun (the biggest bargaining chips in the trade) were offsite trades for DV before that website started to reach the point of no return.

then I do want to give a special shout out to my UR longma, because I adopted the pet “organically” from a Dec 18th box in December of 2020. ;u; I was and still am over the moon about this pet.

My most valuable pet I believe is my white malk dragon. Paid over 1000 C$ Plus a bunch of '09 rares but I am very happy.

Also pps dragon cat, that was another over 1000 C$ purchase
