I am seeing users advertise the bandersnatch store pet at 450 sometimes 550 c$ when it has historically traded for 250 c$ and I mean just in the past few weeks the price hiked. What can we do about inflation? I don't know if it's appropriate to post after someone advertising and remind them of the price but this is just one example where a pet's worth snowballs. If nothing is done then the cost of a storepet has more than doubled ya know. This is just one example and I am sure it has happened to other valuable pets, but what's there to do? Anything?

Mods can remove if not appropriate I just worry about the experience for regular players as the prices of pets keeps jumping up.
C$ prices are generally higher than the value of the pet itself (for example, the Bandersnatch is 1 MA/350C$) because people rarely are willing to sell list pets for pure C$, and C$ is so inflated to the point where it becomes worth less and less as more time passes. Additionally, store pets are unique in where they increase in value with every year that passes, though that value is often just increased by what people are willing to pay, as can be seen by the astronomical increase in value of the Dragoncat PPS.
Unfortunately, there will always be value-pushers and greedy traders who will want to continue to bump the price of high-demand pets as much as possible, and I don't believe that the demand list on the first page of this post helps at all. I've stated it in a previous post a few pages back, but I believe that it's a huge detriment to the system and only enables value pushing, as it gives people a more legitimate reason to keep the values of pets increasing. The PPS Dragoncat, for example, was worth .25 nons about 6 months ago. People who were desperate for it and willing to overpay began to pay .5 nons for it. Because of this, it's listed on the demand post as being in the range of .25-.5 nons, meaning people believe they can reasonably ask .5 nons for it - and then people overpay on top of that, leading to it now going for .75 nons - 1 non on occasion, which is absolutely out of control.
I'm not sure if there's much that can be done, especially since there are so many factors that lead to the value of pets increasing, but I believe that at the very least, the disclaimer on the top of the demand post needs to be more prominent and/or restated.
