I am wondering... many people are advicing that 09 christmas items are worth an 09 uncommon.
I actually dont agree with this. Yes, the pets are uncommon, but that doesnt mean the items are. Those are often released 1 per member.
Back in 09 there were many less members than now, which could mean they could be considered rare or even very rare.
I know that some items have less demand, but suggesting a 09 or 10 uncommon seems risiculous to me.
Sorry for changing the subject, but this is kind of bugging me...

I completely agree with this. I am also sometimes at fault for this and it's because there doesn't seem to be much to go off of because of an outdated list. There's multiple times when I check the list and I'm really surprised it's lacking Items. I could have swore the Santa dress was on there. Would anyone have any information on how many items were given in the 09' Christmas packs?

We shouldn’t avoid placing items because it’ll inflate demand. That’s how the system works. We are placing them in regards to rarity. Placing them low will do nothing but undervalue the scarves and make it easier to scam people.
I’m okay with a vague “low main” value for the scarf set, although I do feel like it is worth more and personally value the set at a non.

Yeah, I agree that low main is probably best. That way we can still leave it up to the users to decide while, at the same time, not undervaluing the scarves.

As far as the conversation for the 09 items being worth more than an uncommon, I would agree with that. I also think quite a number of active traders have been personally valuing them at a rare now just from some conversations and trades I’ve seen?

I realize this, hence why I said that I am in support of the low main list placement? Not quite necessary to call me out. I am an item collector and I think it’s valuable to share how we value them, because of the lack of rarity tags and data. I’m aware my valuations aren’t truth, but neither is valuing the set at a balloon dog. “Low main” allows people to choose how they value the set within a reasonable bracket.

I was just pointing out how you value it isn’t necessarily how everyone else is, not calling you out. I don’t value the set at a balloon dog, I personally think non is a bit high, but it does come down to personal preference and the fact that items don’t have a specific rarity nor even a set number that was released to go off of.

I like the vague low main as well.

I personally value all 09 items at a rare because well they are harder to find most of the time in my experience anyway.

Agreed.
It’s also harder to find items since many people lock theirs and don’t seem to trade them at all nowadays, creating a smaller pool to trade from.
I would argue some of the ‘1o items are hard to find as well and could be valued at a rare from ‘1o themselves.

It might since there are a ton of older items in there which can be re-released back into circulation.
