hello I have a question about this thread
How come we don't do polls and master posts here like we do for the rares list? This is kind of like that but for items and I really would love for this to get updated more often so that way item collectors can have challenges like the rares list gives pet collectors in a way

The rares list was never created to give users a ‘challenge’. It was created to help list out the rarest pets on the site.
Collecting items is already challenging enough since they are never released again and have no item pound.

Only very recently has the rares list been done with polls like it has.
Items are completely different as well, they don’t have rarities and differ way more than the rares list pets values do. Some people value them way high and others low and etc.

I definitely agree it needs to be updated more, but the two are completely different than one another. ^^
Also like I said it’s a lot harder to put a value on items.
However it’s done it needs to be gone about in a different way than the rares list I feel.

I agree. When I first started collecting items months ago, I thought it was gonna be a challenge to get a bunch of the rarer items but most users will let their items go for cheap prices because they have no way of knowing what they are worth. I feel like the item rares list is way less known and cared about and that’s why it’s harder to update it since there isn’t nearly as many item collectors as there are pet collectors so there isn’t many rare item trades coming in showing what they go for. Due to them never being rereleased and no way of getting them from the pound inventory, they will only go up in worth kinda like store pets. Polls wouldn’t help because their would definitely be a lot of bias between item collectors and hoarders so they would just try to spike their worth’s as high as possible.

I didn't mean challenging I suppose, I meant more of a way for people to see that certain items are rare like it shows in the front page (that's the only type of thing I meant in comparison to the rares list for pets, showing some of the rarest things is all) but with more updates because, for example, the medieval items I've been seeing getting a lot more attention about them but being harder to find since they have become rare.

I don't know I feel like items need a bit more attention like I see people posting trades of items but nothing necessarily gets updated a lot. but hey I'd also like an item pound to be incorporated since banned members lose their pets they should lose items too but heh

I'm sorry if I'm not explaining myself correctly but please know I'm not being harmful about anything I just would like to see more being done/thought about with items
