You mean Santa won't leave me a goat in my stocking even though I asked ever so nicely! My childhood has been filled with LIES!

That reminds me of a funny story: When my brother was little, he went to sit on Santa's lap at a department store. Every kid wanted Power Rangers or a toy truck or something. What did my brother ask for? A mongoose.

Which is funny because I would actually kill for Santa to give me a baby goat. I'm 16

I'm sure they don't either.

Which is completely wrong to do to any species.
Aurorastar wrote:That and I have about zero meat on my bones so I doubt I'd qualify as a decent meal.
I'm sure you have more than a common chicken but we still scarf them down. Eh?
Aurorastar wrote:But.... that's not really the point of this topic
Agreed, moving on.

Kat wrote:I beg to differ but the point is, no living thing should be labeled as a "meat" animal. Would you like to be labeled as that? Not trying to be gross or anything but cannibalism is a natural thing in some countries and occording to them, we taste just like ham. That doesn't mean we can be thought of as meat animals though because for some odd reason we think ourselves superior to other species that are scientifically proven to be stronger and much less weak than the so-called 'top of the food chain" humans.
Either way, once the animal is done living out it's producing life, it should be let to live out the rest of it's days, not brutally slaughtered.
And the whole thing about "meat animals"
we domesticated them, and basic desgined them to be docile and full of muscle/fat . They were not there originaly so technicly they are "meat" animals. And "live out it's producing life" all it's live is producing muscle so it will be eaten =/

There are wild cows and bulls, wild goats, wild turkey, wild boars... they were not made specifically for us, especially since they were there before humans even existed.
Also, every animal produces musscle dear, not just them.
In china, people eat dogs. So I suppose if you want to go this direction, puppies are "meat" animals too.
But if you care to take this any further, we should probably make a topic in general discussion instead.

It's fine if you're a vegetarian. ^^
However in some 3rd world countries, being a vegetarian means starving to death. Simple as that.
On another note, I think this ad is incredibly random. Yeah, I'm going to go on a virtual pet site and buy a bunch of goats...

Just make sure you don't kill Santa.

Although holding an elf ransom might either get you a goat or put you on the naughty list for life.
