Yeah, I'm slowly losing hope too. With less than 12 hours until rollover and still no teaser, it's not looking like it'll start tomorrow D:

There is still a faint little hope though, so maybe we'll be lucky!

You know though, maybe whoever they have on staff who does the site news is busy? Other news has been late in coming. Is the dress up "packing our bags" announcement so important in the grand scheme of things Q.Q I am sure it's gonna happen on Saturday.

This is like in a species where the artists have a litter ready to roll but the mod who is supposed to post the litter is MIA ^^; happens all the time

The teaser isn't important at all, really, but it would be highly highly unusual to not get one. I hope it's just late, because I'm dying to get started on the summer event. I so hope it begins tomorrow <3

If there's no teaser and it just starts at rollover, people will not be happy. So yes, it is important. Every year. Every event. People complain about missing it.

I know it’s not fair to ask them to go off my schedule - but next week is so much worse for me, and I hate being super behind from the very start.

I really wish there was a set week, or time frame for the event. I think it would make a lot of people more happy then all this guess work. It can’t be that much harder, in all honesty , probably easier because the artist know when they have to have everything done by - if they just said the event is the 2nd or 3rd week of June . Set time frame.

Then there are no surprises , no body misses the start etc - and people aren’t disappointed as I can’t help but feel now

Agreed. Next week is terrible for me as well, between a wedding AND a funeral in the same weekend I will probably miss the first few days completely.

They definitely should have a set date for the summer event, would make it easier for people to plan on missing it and catching up if need be.

I've already seen dozens of people a little upset that they didn't start this weekend due to them now having to miss the first few days or even the whole event

Even though i have been on this site for 10 years I have missed EVERY.SINGLE.SUMMER.EVENT 😭😭

I've heard some summer events have rolled through to August. I'm just glad the staff aren't rushing through anything but I hope nothing bad has come up for them to be later than seems to be usual!!!

People still get blindsided by the Advent Calendar, which happens on the same date every year. It's a battle nobody can win.
I feel you though, I'm not a fan of not knowing an event is happening until less than 24h beforehand!

It's definitely more like Halloween and Easter! You hunt for banners to collect tokens just like in those events, but the big difference is that the event page isn't just a place to turn your tokens in, but a nicely illustrated map of an intriguing area with different locations to go to, and characters to talk to (and they're the ones you turn tokens in to), and there's a whole overarching plot that runs through the event (usually a mystery) and new story information is revealed/new token trade-ins and free adopts are added each day! There's way more reading involved.

I'm really surprised we haven't gotten a teaser yet. If it doesn't start tomorrow then this will be the latest start of the summer event ever, beginning on July 29.
As far as I can tell, the latest so far is the Fae Mischief event from 2019, beginning on July 27. But it is much more common for the event to start closer to the middle of July, usually somewhere between the 15. - 25.

But with 3 hours left until rollover and still no teaser... I guess it's not gonna start tomorrow... Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow to a sweet surprise but it doesn't look that way.
