Just visual arts. ^^; So we have:
Image - Literature (writing, story telling, etc)
Image - Music (singing, playing instruments, etc)
Image - Dance (ballet, foxtrot, etc)
Image - Visual (Painting, drawing, photography, etc)
Image - Theatre (acting, drama, etc)

although...

they make a nice contrast with Selcouth's bright litter.

I think they wouldn't be very unique if they were omg bright.

That's true c: Either way, they're very pretty~

I personally don't see what a lot of people have against these dogs. Just because they're an ode to the arts doesn't mean that they have to be all "artsy" or filled with lineart edits or whatever. When I first saw them, I knew right away that the word "arts" meant more than the visual arts. The word arts is a very broad word and encompasses a very large amount of things. I didn't know exactly what arts to expect but I did know that there wouldn't be enough room in one litter to include every single arts out there. And honestly, if the design of the dogs had been "artsy", I would've been extremely disappointed in the litter because of the fact that it's supposed to be an ode to -all- of the arts, not just the visual arts like drawing, painting, digital, etc. I love how the litter has a common base design that can tie them together as a litter but each dog takes that base design and makes it very unique for the art it's supposed to represent. The fact that the colors are similar, but not the same, does the same thing, it ties them together as a litter but still makes each dog pleasingly unique. While I agree that I would like them better without the chest stripes, that's only because I feel like they don't fit in with the rest of the design, not because they're off-putting or ugly or anything. It's part of the base design that the artist came up with and, with each growth, I've grown rather fond of the design as a whole.

I agree completely. When I first saw these dogs, I never once thought that they would be all artsy or full of lineart edits. The way I interpreted "the arts" was not just visual art, but including all different kinds of arts. Actually, I had originally hoped that they would have a rather simple design and would be based on music, which is what I think of when I see the word "ode". I love music more than anything else in the world, so I had really high hopes for this litter. When they grew and I saw that they weren't all music-themed, I was a little disappointed but the rest of the outcomes quickly started to grow on me.

This litter is tied with the Medieval dragon dogs as my favorite litter on CS. I love the theme so much and the way the artist chose to illustrate each different kind of art is just beautiful and genius. The last growth simply took my breath away with the gorgeous design and combination of colors. In all honesty, I cannot see these dogs being any better if they were full of lineart changes and "artsy" designs, whatever that even means. In fact, I think I would find a change to the lineart to be distracting from the overall theme of the design. The simplicity of these dogs causes your eyes to focus solely on the colors of design itself, which is the true heart of this litter, rather than on some fancy change to the lineart.

I'm personally not a fan of the chest stripes, but like you said, I think that's just because they don't seem to fit with the rest of the design, not that the stripes themselves look bad. I didn't really like the stripes on the tail very much either when I first saw them, but after I got used to it, I found that they were actually a really nice touch.

March definitely churned out some of my favorite designs on CS so far. I cannot get over how awesome they are. *squishies these 3 above all*

this is the most surprising one for me. I didn't expect it to like it when I saw the puppy stage but it's adult form is lovely. I think it's the eyes that I love most about this pet.

Just like April pets talk isn't allowed, please keep all Easter talk off the March Discussion. There will be an announcement when it will start or if you have a question, please post in the Suggestions and Problems forum.

Oh, sorry Ricorn. ^^"

I absolutely love the lime green ode to art dog, except the eyes. Not sure why, but they just bother me. D:

There are some changes you might either look forward to... or not. xD

Anyways we have had a few people being unhappy about some of the horse adoptables looking like a specific horse. While there is nothing wrong in replicating a natural occuring pattern, I try to satisfy people with my adoptables in the best possible way. In no way did I intend to upset anyone so I made some little changes to make them look less like an rl exisitng horse. I hope they are more to everyone's liking now.

It might take a while for the changes to kick in.

I saw a link to a horse that looked like one that somebody posted the other day... Oh no, it's the rare one, isn't it? D:

Well, I'm sure it will still be super pretty.
