That reminds me, the first two years (2009 and 2010), you could get store pets from the Dec 18th box.



(For ref, orange cerb was available Oct/Nov 2009.)

It's also impossible to say how many users adopted from both boxes, but CS was incredibly active back then, so I would assume there are a lot. Whether those users are still active today, who knows.

Fun fact. I put my favorite owl in my pets without a group and put the spares in my trades group. They took my boy in pets without a group and left me a trade owl QnQ that's not polite etiquette
