My guide which i originally created earlier this year is supposed to showcase what most people are currently paying for for certain pets using trade evidence to allow people to make judgments as far as pet worth, how is your list going to be different from mine?

I ask because im getting the impression this list would try to be a reflection of what people are currently trading for certain pets, and since mine is already going to do that, this would be kind of redundant. But i may be wrong.

Ah- well to answer this, I wanted to get a finished one out, and I wanted to do one myself ^u^

This is list also going to include pets of lower demand, essentially all VR/OMGSR and high demand Rare's that typically go for higher than they're rarity, but pets like rats, horses, ponies, spiders etc will still be included and I believe placed similarly to pets they are 'worth' the same as,but pointing out that species and demand do make a difference to a users preference.

What I'm getting from your list is that you are focusing strictly demand, so your list would be more flowing and changing to reflect demand on a regular basis, whereas I believe the goal of this list is so set out a guide for inexperienced users to use as a reference that no, an '09 VR Dalmatian doesn't equal a cake dog, despite the demand difference, but an '08 advent rat typically goes for about half of an '08 advent dog, even though the rats are probably rarer. Whereas your list would more outline what a Moonswirl is currently getting, 3 nons or 5? Are people swapping Coontails for ravens or are they getting more?

Totally had a good idea. You should add a disclaimer that although the values you have organised through the list are a collaboration of demand, rarity and trade evidence, that pets can always unexpectedly turn OMGSR and require adjustments, this is because they're so no guarantee that any values placed on pets are accurate and are merely to give an idea of what the pet is worth, and what it's current market is like with the community.

I think... this thread is getting out of hand.
While I think making this list is a bad idea, people are perfectly entitled to do and think what they want. I think everyone just needs to take a step back and calm down - it's getting rather heated ^^
We have to remember that cs is just a virtual pet website, so personally I don't see reason in everyone getting extremely upset over something that - by the looks of it - is going to happen anyway.
It's obvious that the majority of people don't want this to be a thing - but if that is so, that means that most people won't want to follow it. So if it is created, it's less likely for people to follow it.

So what I’m gathering from the users last post, it isn’t going to be rarity based because they don’t know how many pets there are and it’s going to be demand based? Lol this is definitely a repeat from last year. Sorry but I really do not think this is a good ideas as do most people that have replied as we were here and got affected by the last rares list...

I don't run the thread so the owner could very well call me out and say I've misunderstood, as i believe every list will need monthly maintainence at least, but there isn't as much need for constant change when rarity is included, unless a pet Spikes up or down in demand, which would have trading evidence and people's opinions to back up and could easily be sorted out within a week or two assuming the owner has the time 😊

Multiple lists is the best thing for the site, multiple opinions for people to decide from, or mix to create their own values. I don't understand why 2 demand lists would be pointless since opinions always differ, so the more opinions, the more chance of a generally accepted median, without applying complicated mathematics.

just dropping in here with my two cents-

this is a very ambitious idea you have going on! unfortunately, i don't think it will work out.
based on the information you posted on the first page of the thread, it seems like this new list will include pets with demand.
demand is ever-changing, so naturally, if you want to continue this thread and provide accurate values for many years to come (assuming that this list will have formed and kept up within the community), you have to edit the list whenever a pet gains or loses demand. doesn't this defeat the purpose of a list? a list is supposed to be mainly set in stone, a base guideline for these *newer players* look at to find the values of their pets. if a list incorporates demand, it will ruin everything and renders it unreliable.

another thing i find troublesome about this is the fact that,, it's a list.
the old list was retired because people didn't want to be confined to one way of trading. this list will create hugely varying values of pets and probably ruin the trading economy even more.

Not at all 😄 with all the drama the surprise omgsrs caused in january, it seems like the perfect note to convey that nothing is set in stone, that any pet that hasn't turned VR could likely change omgsr at any update 😂

Haha that's good, would've been embarrassing if I'm sitting here thinking I'm being relevant and actually just being a goofball 😅

It may also be worth a mention about the re-releases being equal to true dates, but with there being less true dates there are users that value them higher, and again this is user based opinion and not something your list would take into account, but something that users should watch out for in people's trading rules etc
