For those of you who have reached major milestones, what did you do afterward? Did you set a new goal, focus on trading, take a break, or something else? I'd also love to know what keeps you engaged with Chicken Smoothie in the long run!
I got my dream pet: a true date red rose. Sure there are still pets on my wishlist I'd like to have, but since I've got her I felt content. I consider myself retired from trading. I don't even swap for monthlies anymore.
What did I do afterwards? I looked at my pet collection and thought to myself 'what doesn't spark joy?' And what I found was, there are some species that aren't my thing. So I moved the species not too exciting to me into my trades group: tess cats, tess dragons, lions, draft horses.
Then I participated in the major giveaway events. Lights on Lights off in October and Hollibombs in December. Those two months I make it rain on users in the community. My pets are distributed far and wide. Instead of my pets rotting in a trade thread I get them in the hands of users who will appreciate them. All my true date tess cats are on other accounts and dressed up c: it's so sweet to see!
what keeps you engaged with Chicken Smoothie in the long run? The closed species community. I apply for closed species adopts. I'm mainly involved in Fables and Wild Mountain Equids. I write stories of my adopts. I order art. I make friends in the closed species community. It's a lot of fun c:
in summary, I still adopt pets but I don't really trade. I'm retired
