Dang, i'd apply to be a GH but i don't know how to exist and my posts have been taken down multie times and i'm probably the reason why some anti threads are still allowed (it had to do with a few threads....a few staff......a few help desk tickets.) so good luck to anyone who applies!

i've been thinking about applying for a general helper position, but i wanted to ask this before applying: how much of a time commitment is it? i am involved in numerous activities, so i want to make sure i have the time to take this on before applying.

Some days it's pretty slow, but sometimes there's an endless amount of work to be done (especially December 18th and the summer event heh). I
We prefer users who already have time enough to spend at least two hours average on CS, and I would say most of the time that would be enough to get things done. However, if you already spend your time on CS actively doing stuff all the time (not having down time just waiting for stuff to happen) then you will probably need to carve out some more in your schedule.

Remember, apps will open again so you can apply at a later date if it doesn't seem like it will work out for you currently. Good luck!

Good luck to anyone applying! I haven’t quite been on here for twelve months yet- just a couple months short of it- but I may as well try out. I just have one question:
If we try out for GH and are accepted, is there still a chance we can become site moderators later on?

General helpers may apply for other positions in the future, yes. If you check our user group, you'll actually see quite a few mods/admin assistants listed with us! That's because they used to be GHs, but later applied for different positions! Forum/memberlist.php?mode=group&g=13
