Hey guys, does anyone know what names the August/September store cats are going by? I need to add them to the list, but can't seem to find any names for them. Same goes for the October/November store foxes when they get their rarities.

I think that most people call them Kirin cats? But I'm not sure ^^
and foxes should be Kitsunes

The problem with calling them kitsunes is the fact that there are already kitsune stores.

Mmm we have Kirin store pets already as well. But I guess there's not much we can do if that's what they're being referred to as?

re: the store pet set names being repeated - maybe the trading community could add on a year indicator? kind of like how everyone refers to the “‘09 UR Dog,” these could be the “‘20 Kirin stores?”

True, that could work. I'm still not sure what their individual names could be, though. I have seen this one referred to as a moth a few times, but as for the others I'm stumped.

And according to this post from meveh, they're not based on anything. My best guess would be tribal kirin cat, moth kirin cat, bell kirin cat, and eastern dragon kirin cat... although that last name is a bit of a mouthful ^^"

As for the kitsunes, here are my thoughts on their names - please give feedback/other suggestions!

Blue Kitsune | Brown Kitsune
Red & Black Kitsune | Red & White Kitsune

I was going to suggest going by their number of tails, but on the blue & red/black ones it's hard to tell if the shape behind their back legs is a tail or perhaps a mistake in the lineart?

I'm pretty sure it's another tail because that would mean the tail numbers are 3, 5, 7, and 9.
I think naming by tails might be a good idea. My one worry is the few pets like this one. Although I guess most would probably know whether a normal or a store pet is being talked about.

In that case I would definitely include the colour of them flames into the name, as this is a Store-only feature.
Also I'm thinking that the "brown" Kitsune would rather be called "Fox" or "Vixen", as those are frequent names for pets of this colouring.
How about:
- Yellow Fire Ice Kitsune,
- Blue Fire Fox Kitsune,
- Yellow Fire Dark & Red Kitsune,
- Blue Fire White & Red Kitsune.
Sounds a bit edgy, but is definitely unique <:

Maybe a combination of both? Considering kitsune literally means "fox" I'd say we probably wouldn't need to include that in the brown one's name. So maybe:
- 5 Tailed Ice Kitsune
- 3 Tailed Fire Kitsune
- 7 Tailed Dark Fire Kitsune
- 9 Tailed White Fire Kitsune

The only one I feel doesn't roll off the tongue very well is the 9 tailed one, but I'm not sure how else to name it to keep it matching but not have it confused with the other 9 tailed fox Icescape mentioned.

And to also bring the store cats back into conversation, I'm not sure going with "kirin" is a great idea now we have a 2020 UR Kirin ^^"
