Meeep! Time is going by waaaay too fast! I will be posting lore for these lovely being below asap!
(brief summary: this fable bonded to an adorable wild child and gained a little of her infantile behavior and an obsession with sequins. Said wild child has grown up now to be much more mature but Star Sparkle [that's what you get when you let a stubborn six year old give you a name at your bonding. ^^'] is determined to keep her bonded's childhood alive and thriving, helping her retain a little bit of whimsy even as she heads into adulthood.)

"Are you... *sure* you want to stay... 'Star Sparkle?'" Clissandra asked a little ruefully.
Star Sparkle looked up at her bonded, her eyes blinking with innocent confusion.
"Of course I want to keep my name." she answered, "Its... my name. You gave it to me at our bonding."
"Yeah... But you know its more traditional to have an old language name. I was just a kid when we met, and bonded. I didn't know what I was doing."
She seemed a little exasperated and perhaps even distraught. Star Sparkle was concerned. She could never grow callous to Clissandra's feelings.
Rising up on her hooves, Star Sparkle leaned towards her bonded, resting her shoulder against, offering support as she had hundreds of times before. And, as she had hundreds of times before, Clissandra leaned back against her. They were silent for a few moments.
"It's... my parents." the girl admitted, her voice growing timid, "They think I'm the one keeping your name because I'm being stubborn."
"Oooh." Star Sparkle answered in an understanding tone before snorting, "But you have never cared what your parents said about your choices before, or at least not till the last year or so. What does it matter?"
"Well... I am the heir..." Clissandra answered, looking torn, "Its not just about me. I'm... supposed to be responsible."
"And... being responsible means... changing my name?" Star Sparkle asked, feeling bemused.
"Well, no, I guess not." her bonded admitted, growing more thoughtful now. She'd been doing that more and more now that her teenage years had finally gotten to her.
"Maybe," Star Sparkle suggested gently, "your parents might know *some* things about being responsible. But they don't know *everything*. Responsibility doesn't mean changing another person's name and it doesn't mean you have to give everything up from your childhood either."
Clissandra looked up, smiling a little now.
"Like sequins..?" she asked a little teasingly.
"Like sequins!" Star Sparkle agreed enthusiastically, already flopping down to pull out the bottom drawer dedicated to her collection, "Since we were *so* quick in taking care of that question, you want to hang out for a bit and make a sequin picture with me?"
She blinked hopeful, big eyes up at her bonded. Clissandra laughed and then pulled out a package she'd been holding behind her. Star Sparkle's eyes... sparkled!
"Oooh, you got me *more!* You're the *best* bonded a fable could have!"
She bent close to nuzzle Clissandra as the girl dropped to her knees across from her, already starting to open the box with all its delightful, sparkly packages.
"And you're the best fable anyone could bond with," she answered, smiling warmly across at her, "Star Sparkle."
