Do you have past experience ;; Not necesarrily with Dog adopts, but some with designing dogs for fun or as a commission /design trade, and with Horse Adopts her on CS. Previously I have worked as an Artist for Rajashi Drafts, and Khimaira Friesians, the later beign a position I will likely resume one they reopen
Some of your favorite past designs ;; All off my CS designs are a bit on the older side since I#ve taken a break of sorsts for a while, so they do not fully reflect my current art skills. Some things I improced on, some I forgot how to do. Two of my favorite designs I did during my CS break are my boy Lio, as well as Fallenhound (base not by me), sadly I don't hink I would be able to repliate that style of marking in oeaki as of rn (my pen pressure is still struggeling to get allong with this programm, other than that I totally could)
What would you contribute to the staff team ;; An affinity for dogs and genetics, someone generally interested in keeping any drama to an absolute minimum, and maybe even some Creativity. I like to help people any way I can, even if that just means trying to help someone lighten their mood.
What are some of your strengths and weaknesses ;; I love to draw white markings, but struggle with largely spotted designs sometimes (I can do em, I just likely won't enjoy it bc I will overthing the placement of the spots in relation to eachother). As of rn I do not know any good ways of drawing Merle (one entry is merle, and while I'm not happy with it I could totally do more dogs in that style, it was pretty fun too), but I will try to learn and I am veeeery open to suggestions and being taught how to. I am a bit iffy with brindles, and at least at the start would really like to avoud designs with large amounts of it, and even if I get more comfortable they likely won't be a favorit of mine any time soon. I have basically no idea how greying works in dogs, and if it's anything like horses I probably won't enjoy drawing it - but will try if needed, as with any other marking I'm not too familiar with
My Genetics knowledge is a bit rusty, and I'm unfamiliar with some of the newer genes, but very eager to learn
What is a situation where you would be biased in/have trouble with ;; I can get stressed a bit easily, especially in social situations (I have social anxiety, though it is not as bad online), and both fear making mistakes and rejection, as well as in extension authority figures i don't know well (since their rejection would have worse consequences. In practice that will often lead to me having a ton of quenstions to make sure I'm doing everything right, but being very afraid to ask em in case of annoying someone.
I think I may be biased and have a bit of a low patience for people that I feel like stress me out or annoy me, or that I've witnessed stress out/annoy others. If I notice I'm getting too annoyed I will take a break from a situation to avoid being less kind or more snappy in the heat of the moment that I'd like to be, and long temr I will at worst avoid interacting with individuals I'm biased against. of course that wouldn't mean they would be at a disadvantage in adopt competitions or events hosted by me, at most I might be less liely to accept breeding, especially ones involving markings I'm not too thrilled about drawing to beginn with (that is, if it will be like the adopts I've been an artist for before where multiple artists were open for breedings at any time, so being politly rejected by one didn't really impact your chances to get the breeding you want done. Should the breeding space be more competative than that, with more people looking for open artist slots than artist slots are available I will of course try my best to look past such biases)
Less a Bias, and more a general disadvantage I have that sometimes leads to struggles: English is not my native language, I'm still learning it. I feel like at this point I'm pretty fluent and able to communi´cate without much trouble, but every once in a while I will run into terms I don't know or make mistakes.
