This new position will have a focus on the whelping box - the main roles of this position are as follows.
➛ Open free breedings in the whelping box every month, with a variety of different slot openings (fcfs, raffle, prompt, etc)
➛ Participate in all-staff events or collaborations, such as our yearly fall festival
➛ If desired, open shop/item breedings and/or sell litter specials (Valentines and Easter) during their applicable months utilizing our shop channel and documents on discord
➛ If desired, and once whelping box duties have been sufficiently fulfilled, create adoptable collies on our main adoption page
Prospective whelping box artists should be comfortable with genetics and a wide variety of different markings, including both simple realistic coats and our more complex breed specific markings. No prior artist or closed species experience is required, but it is appreciated! Prospective artists will be joining a fairly active and close-knit team, so the ability to have productive discussions, ask for help, and be open to constructive feedback is important.
The collie staff team will begin hiring discussions in May, and our ideal candidate(s) will be able to officially start in their new position on June 1st.

How to start:
1. Give our whelping box page a thorough read and have our genetics page open for quick reference
2. Decide which pair you're breeding and copy down their genotypes, heights, weights, and any special notes (edits, special rolls, ghost/seal/faulty eryth, etc)
3. Roll litter size (1-50 = small, 51-100 = large)
4. Using the parents heights and weights as a range, roll puppy heights and weights
5. Roll genotypes for each puppy. This can be done using rng for each allele, a randomizer, generator, Punnett squares, etc (essentially any method you're comfortable with that results in each puppy inheriting one of each parent's alleles at every locus)
6. Determine if there are any applicable edit or special rolls that need to be done (stained/bleached, tephra/raposa, spooky surprises, impairments, etc) and roll those accordingly
7. Translate genotypes into phenotypes and ask for any assistance you may need for more complicated coat combinations
8. Make your puppies!
---
You may choose whether or not you would like to use the sweater lines or fully color the puppy versions. Feel free to use the litter's cover page to make any points about your design process and choices, anything you found challenging, what you felt comfortable with, etc.
Please use the following code for each individual puppy, deleting any notes that do not apply:
