Edit:
Since I don't know where else to put it, I'm putting my old story about how I found the egg here, just in case I want to use it instead for some reason...
I'd always loved rocks and fossils, but after the fifteenth time I'd had the loose rocks slide out from under me and after scrapping my legs after each time, I was begining to seriously rethink my facination with the darn things.I was up at some nameless plateau looking for the site where locals had claimed to have found several rune fossils. After hearing something like that, it wasn't long before a die hard rock collector and runie fan like me was boarding a train for the reported site. Unfortunately for me, the loose gravel that formed the sides of the rather steep cliff made it a challenging hike, and it was just my luck that the reported site happened to be at the top.
After several long and tiring couple of hours of swearing and shin-scraping I decided to try and consult my map. Maps... I got to say: not my strong point. "Okay... So it looks like I'm next to this... squiggly thingy...? You know what, forget this map: I'm getting to the top one way or another so I can find my fossils!!!" With a steely, determined look I turned to tackle the climb once again but immediatley found my determined gaze drawn to a gaping hole in the side of the cliff. With a jolt of recognition I found myself scurring towards it, heedless of my tired legs and the aweful feeling of sweet collecting in a pool between my shoulder blades. As I reached the jagged entrance and felt the cool air waft out at me I let out a low admiring whistle.
"It's an old gold mine!" I said in a hushed whisper, excitement at such a find sending a rush of adrenaline through my veins. I took a step forward to touch the cool quartz walls when I suddenly felt the loose gravel go out from beneath me in a now-all-too-familiar way. With a cry of surpize I suddenly found my self lying on my back and sliding several feet further into the mine. After I'd stopped I stared up at the ceiling of the mine and watched as dust motes flitted through the shafts of light while I slowly moved every part of my body to make sure everything was still in working condition. I slowly sat up and discovered that a shaft of light was alighting on something golden on what looked to be a large round rock a few feet away. My eyes went wide as I began to think that I had discovered a gold nugget left behind by some miner.
But as I brought the surprzingly light rock into the light for closer inspection I realized Ithat it was in fact not a rock, but a large green egg with belts wrapped tight around it. As I put it gingerly into my bag the light once again shone off of the belt buckles and I couldn't help but wonder about the creature that lay within.

Here's the animated version:

Finally figured out how to get rid of the glow(I testing to see whether I could make it look like it was glowing, but it didn't work for some reason so I just uploaded it only to find that it did work. I didn't like how it kinda covered up some of the lines so I had to go back and fix it.)
