Just had to delete cookies (: it's a good first try! Try to add more shape and difference in the middle. Place lighter spots and darker spots around at random at first and then try and relate them to where the main shadows and highlights would be. You've got the main idea though and the cloud you have is nice, just not as fluffy as it could be.

Segue: it kinda looks like a blood cloud in water...hmmm
