Her behavior, attitude, and appearance changed dramatically. She went from being society's standard of a respectable woman to what many people would call a "dyke." (A dyke is a woman that typically has short hair and appears to be masculine. Their behavior can sometimes be dominant as well, and people find this to be snobbish.)
She's a target for bullies, and the internet is the perfect place for cowards to gang up on celebrities-- or whoever.
