Sparrow is a hard worker, but he certainly isn't the sharpest pencil in the bunch. He tends to get on his handler's last nerves with his lack of understanding. He is incredibly sweet, however, and craves attention. Primarily this is from Skua. He does like strangers, however, and often his outgoing personality causes his handler into social interactions.
Sparrow was a gift to Skua a year after he had joined the Corps career path. The Ru-Ru was only a juvenile at the time and had always been very simple and somewhat slow. Training the youngling was an undertaking Skua was.. less than eager to take. His bird's simple-mindedness does still bother him, but only he is allowed to insult the creature. He wouldn't openly admit it, but he does love the bird. Sparrow knows this and returns it ten-fold to Skua.
