Welcome to Egypt
The Land of Gods and Guardians.
The Egyptians worship many gods, such as Ra, Isis, Horus and Anubis. Each God has it's own element to rule, like Ra is the God of the sun above us. At the foot of the main Gods sits two outstanding creatures, one male, one female. These creatures are called Guardians of the Gods, they protect the Gods from evil spirits, go to earth to rid the world of the dying, and aid the Gods in their voyages in the after life.
The Guardians can cross between worlds, just like Gods can. They never show their true form after they cross over from the afterlife, they usually take the form of locust, scorpions, snakes and other creatures native to Egypt aswell as humans, this is their main mortal form. They may only cross over if the god they serve allow them too, the male and female can travel together if they wish to, they are never alone after crossing from the afterlife. Mortals can recognize the guardian's human forms, but the only time they are seen if this form, if when they reap the souls of the dying and take them to the afterlife.
The Appearance of the Guardians:
The Guardians has the slight appearance of a coyote, with long tufts of fur going down their neck and into a dorsal stripe of longer hair than the rest of their coat which leads to a long flowing tail. Their bodies are tall and slender, they have long necks, and small head and a long thin snout. Their ears are long and pointed, with bunched tufts of hair around the base. They have wings like a bird, large with hollow bones, however they cannot fly, their feathers are torn and twisted, long and pointed. They have chilling serpentine eyes that come in any color. They're coats are usually a natural base color, with come unnatural markings. They have traditional jewelery decorating they're bodies. Each individual Guardians has a gold or silver brace on their neck, with a symbol or pendant hanging from it that represents their god.
Breeding:
Yes, Guardians are allowed to breed, but as gifts to Pharaohs on earth, their pups are mortal, they have no wings but still have the loyalty of their parents, have unusual markings, jewelry and the long tufts of hair. Only the two Guardians from the same God can breed. They can produce only one pup in their whole life time.
