Longtails are a feline species with extraordinarily long, muscular tails. It's so strong, it can function as a fifth limb and they will often use it when climbing or perching in trees─their favorite napping spot. Longtails are much larger than the average family cat. Females can weigh 15-18lbs (7.2-8.1kg) while males can top a whopping 25-28lbs (11.3-12.7kg). This rivals even the Maine Coons, the largest domesticated breed. Despite their size, these cats can be quite gentle and protective of children in their family. They are bred for a variety of jobs due to their high trainability and eager to please temperaments. Longtails, unlike their smaller relatives, have no fear of water. They love swimming as much as they do climbing, and would happily spend the entire day in the family pool if permitted to do so. Longtails live an average of 35 years, but can live for as long as 50 years in some cases. A well fed and exercised Longtail has a high chance of living past 35. These large cats require a raw diet, as their bodies have continued to evolve with stomachs like that of their ancestors, the Clouded Leopards. Breeders of these magnificent cats are very experienced in choosing a Longtail that best matches your family and lifestyle. So make sure you choose your breeder well!

This is a remake of a very old lineart I did a looong time ago. Crazy that 2019 was 7 years ago, isn't it? But I wanted fresh lines to use, so I decided to bring these back and turn them into a simple species!
