GENERAL RULES

♡ Make sure to follow all of the typical ChickenSmoothie rules!
♡ Always be kind, respectful and patient with members of our lovely community, staff or otherwise.
♡ Any form of harassment will not be tolerated. if something is concerning you, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our staff, or a CS staff member.
♡ AI art or writing are NOT allowed and is considered a bannable offense. it is simply unfair to those who put in effort.
♡ Rules are subject to change depending on need.

SPECIES RULES

♡ There is no limit to how many hydrafelis you can own.
♡ Hydrafelis age at approximately 14 days each stage. Once there is a new adult hydrafelis, you must wait 7 days to breed them. This is subject to change as needed.
♡ Hydrafelis, their items and myos may be gifted, traded or sold for whatever the user decides.
♡ Pre-existing ocs you may have that you'd like to transfer to Tides of the Abyss are allowed, as long as you have permission from the original creator!
♡ Rules are subject to change depending on need.

STAFF RULES

♡ Staff are expected to follow all website and TOTA rules.
♡ If something comes up between users, staff are expected to remain unbiased when resolving the situation.
♡ All TOTA staff is expected to work together on a united front.
♡ Adding to the above, if something comes up and as a staff member you are unsure of what to do, please do not hesitate to ask other staff members for assistance!
♡ Staff for TOTA are expected to have a discord. This does not need to be using your main discord account, it is totally okay to make a secondary discord account for this.
♡ Depending on activity from staff, they will be awarded an unlimited UC myo each month (if activity lines up)

ARTIST RULES

♡ Competitions must be judged fairly and in an unbiased manner - unless it is a raffle. Raffles are rolled in the discord.
♡ When posting an adopt or founder, each edit must be listed in the correct format.
♡ All TOTA staff is expected to work together on a united front.
♡ Full staff artists are able to open up customs, and forms of payment are up to the artist.
♡ Full staff artists are not required to check with other staff that their hydrafelis meets standards, unless there is confusion/a quesiton.
♡ Much like the staff, each artist - depending on activity - receive an unlimited UC myo each month.

GUEST ARTIST RULES

♡ Guest artists are allowed to make founders and adopts with common and below edits.
♡ Guest artists are required to run each design by a full staff member before posting.
♡ Each guest artist will be hired for 1 calendar month, an will receive an unlimited UC myo for their time!
♡ There is a minimum expectancy - each guest artist must make at least 2 adopts in their time as a guest artist.
♡ At the end of the term, staff will decide if the guest artist will be brought on full time.
♡ It is not required to have a discord as a guest artist, although it does make things easier. However, if you are aiming for full time artist, you will need a discord.

♡ Use the form below to describe your 'founder'! Each user gets a free founder - one that you are able to customize as you wish! Your founder can have any NR or C color, and can have 3 C traits, and an unlimited number of NR traits. The traits list is here!
♡ You must have a storage space for your hydrafelis! This can be done on this cs thread, or on toyhouse. When you go to claim your founder after it has been made, you will be required to link your storage space!
♡ While you are waiting for a founder, you are free to try for adopts.

Q: What are Hydrafelis?
A: Hydrafelis are a semi-aquatic species based around marine life. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, some mimicking actual marine life and others appearing as regular cats! Each one is unique (:

Q: What is the general layout of a group of Hydrafelis? Are they clans, groups, etc?
A: This is completely up to you, and what lore you plan to develop! They can be in "schools", "pods", "clans", however you'd like to develop them, as long as they stay true to the underwater nature of the species itself!

Q: How do Hydrafelis' age work?
A: This can also depend on how you'd like to develop them - if you'd like to take a more feline approach, they can live up to 20 years! If you're wanting to do a more fantasy approach, they can live up to hundreds, if not more years old (: This is allowing you all to have creative freedom!

Q: Is there a limit to how many Hydrafelis we can own?
A: There is no limit! You are free to collect as many as your heart desires - this means if you'd like to create more than one 'group' of Hydrafelis, you're more than welcome to (: They just have to have the same storage!
