    main thread | old nursery
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────

    welcome to the goobies nursery!
occasionally, goobies nursery artists will post nursery slot openings to breed goobies.
for more information, read on below...!

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    rules
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    • please remember to follow all goobies rules
    • goobies may be bred any number of times, with a cooldown between each breeding of 21 days.
    • goos may be grown after 14 days. after being grown, the goob must wait an additional 7 days to be bred.
    • goobies must be owned 7 days before they may be bred.
    • major gobs cannot be bred, but they do have other effects in the nursery...
    • minor gobs can be bred, but they do not pass g4/t4 traits.
    • you may mark the nursery, but please only post this mark once!
    • please do not post questions here, as they may be lost! instead, visit the #questions channel on discord or pm a staff member!

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    nursery information
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    • up to three goobies may breed together, but a minimum of two are required to breed.
    • any goob may be bred together, regardless of fraction, agel or diab.
    • if a goob has multiple appearances, only their main form will be used during the breeding.
in regards to: (g2) color change and (t3) form change
    • the nursery opens when an artist posts ticket openings.
artists may sort through tickets however they please: only allowing IC breedings, only allowing first time breedings, etc...
artists may decide between tickets however they please: RNG, short contests like guess-the-number, etc...

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    ticket information
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    • to make reading through tickets for artists easier, please add an asterisk(*) alongside traits that are shared, one star per each goob holding the trait. for example, if two goobs have the trait "fur" then it would be written as "fur**", if three have the trait then it would be written as "fur***".
    • breedings between multiple parties need to only be posted once, by one person. additionally, tickets may be posted by someone not involved at all in the breeding if they have received permission to do so.
    • ticket postings may not be "reserved" or "edited" unless an artist specifically allows it.
    • nursery items are consumed the moment a ticket is accepted.
    • goobies are placed on breeding cooldown once their ticket is accepted.

goobies nursery | roll information

Postby castiiian » Sat Aug 31, 2024 4:30 am

while it's up to artists to handcraft gorgeous blends of designs, things like goo litter size and traits used are decided via RNG!
the nursery artist will roll a number from 1 to 100 to determine goo litter size, traits, and mutations.

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    goo litter chances
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    • 1 goo ∙ 9% chance ( roll: 1-9 )
    • 2 goo ∙ 25% chance ( roll: 10-34 )
    • 3 goo ∙ 30% chance ( roll: 35-64 )
    • 4 goo ∙ 25% chance ( roll: 65-89 )
    • 5 goo ∙ 8% chance ( roll: 90-97 )
    • 6 goo ∙ 3% chance ( roll: 98-100 )

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    fraction chances
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    • 1 agel + 1 diab ∙ 50% chance for either ( roll: 1-50 agel , 51-100 diab )
    • 1 agel + 2 diabs ∙ 33.3% chance for agels, 66.6% for diabs ( roll: 1-34 agel , 35-100 diab )
    • 1 diab + 2 agels ∙ 33.3% chance for diabs, 66.6% for agels ( roll: 1-34 diab , 35-100 agel )
    • all parents are the same = all goos are the parent's fraction

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    trait pass chances
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
depending on how many parents own a particular trait, it changes the trait's pass rate.
please note that traits within different tiers may have different pass rates!
    for traits: g1 and t1
    • 1 parent ∙ 30% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-30 )
    • 2 parents ∙ 65% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-65 )
    • 3 parents ∙ 90% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-90 )
    for traits: g2 and t2
    • 1 parent ∙ 20% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-20 )
    • 2 parents ∙ 50% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-50 )
    • 3 parents ∙ 70% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-70 )
    for traits: t3 and g3
    • 1 parent ∙ 10% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-10 )
    • 2 parents ∙ 35% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-35 )
    • 3 parents ∙ 60% chance ( to pass, roll: 1-60 )

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    random mutation chances
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
mutations are random traits that may appear in a litter. rolling for mutations is optional!
using items, it is possible to increase or decrease the chance for certain mutations...
goos may inherent multiple mutations, so each following list will be rolled for individually.
if a mutation passes, it is artist's choice which trait is added to the goo.
    for traits: g1, g2, and g3
    • g1 trait ∙ 15% chance ( roll: 1-15 )
    • g2 trait ∙ 5% chance ( roll: 1-5 )
    • g3 trait ∙ 3% chance ( roll: 1-3 )
    for traits: t1, t2, and t3
    • t1 trait ∙ 10% chance ( roll: 1-10 )
    • t2 trait ∙ 5% chance ( roll: 1-5 )
    • t3 trait ∙ 1% chance ( roll: 1 )

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    goo fission chances
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
*only occurs if breeding 1 goo in a batch!
there is an item that allow a single goob to produce goos in a nursery batch...!
this makes some changes to the nursery batch chances!

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    goo cluster chances
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
*only valid if breeding more than 7 or more goobies in a batch!
there are a few items that allow more than 3 goobies to breed in a single nursery batch...!
if you happen to participate in a batch with 7 or more goobies, there are some changes to their chances!

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
    major gob influences
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────
while major gobs cannot breed, they can effect goo batches in different ways.
please note that every goo batch can only be effected by one gob.
read on to find the ways a gob can influence a goo batch!

the below is currently unavailable, as it is being updated/reworked

    gob's blessing

    gob worshipper
asks a gob to inspire your goo batch.
    • allows artist to use colors or design elements from a gob
    • no traits will be passed

in order to ask for a gob's influence on your batch you must...
      1. get permission from the gob's owner.
      2. have the appropriate item (if required)

please note that gob owners are not required to accept your requests for blessings or worships.
additionally, gob owners may choose to ask for a payment in exchange for their participation!

goobies nursery | frequently asked questions

Postby castiiian » Sat Aug 31, 2024 4:40 am

    Image
do i need to pay to breed my goobies?
    • unless an artist posts otherwise, breedings are free. artists are allowed to open "paid slots" for any currency they desire.
may i use more than one item for my breeding?
    • yes, you can use as many items as you like.
may multiple users contribute items to the breeding?
    • yes, but please make sure to say which item belongs to which user, and to include proof of them agreeing to use the items.
how do i get items for the nursery?
    • there are several ways to get nursery items! the shop, events, trading, are some examples...!
what does IC and OOC breeding mean?
    • IC stands for in character, while OOC stands for out of character. IC breedings tend to be between parents, and the goos born would be their babies! OOC breedings are breedings that aren't in character, or, aren't canon. OOC breedings may draw inspiration from the parents, but aren't meant to look directly related.
can i commission an artist privately to do my nursery batch?
    • only staff members/users with the item "personal nursery ticket" may privately contact nursery artists about nursery batches. contacting an artist and requesting a nursery batch without a personal nursery ticket can be seen as bribing or favoritism.
i've been asked to "post fates" now that i got my nursery batch completed, what does that mean?
    • you must now decide what happens to your new goos! you can choose who owns them, such as splitting them between yourself and your nursery batch partner, gifting them out to others, or choosing to adopt them out in a random raffle or comp!
