Welcome to the world of Polperro Sport Horses! Excellent racehorses, Polperros make a stellar addition to any stable. Breed, train, and race your way to the winners’ circle.
Polperro Sport Horses are a relaxed arpg that allows users to train and race their horses, collecting rosettes and trophies along the way. All major functions of the breed occur onsite, though discord will be provided to make chatting between users easier. Take the adopt at your own pace - commit to training the best horse possible, enter competitions at your leisure, or forego the racing aspect altogether and work on building your stables. Everyone is welcome here, please make yourselves at home and enjoy!
Currently seeking artists and an archivist, please PM me if interested.

Getting Started
- To begin with, you might want to peruse the links on the main page. It’s okay if they don’t all make sense at first, we’ll work our way through them here. It might be handy to get a feel for the space before we get started, though, so go ahead and take a look around.
- When you’re ready, head on over to the PSH Association Offices to register your stables. You don’t need to own a horse yet, so don’t hesitate to reserve your stable name and silks. If for any reason you wish to change your stable name and/or silks, you may only do so once, so choose wisely!
- Now that you’re established, it’s time to acquire your first horse. There are a few ways to accomplish this. First, you can try your luck adopting your first Polperro. You can also secure breeding slots and breed two horses for a foal. Some users may also have horses up for sale that you could purchase. Occasionally, there may also be a horse up for auction. Or, you could order a custom Polperro.
- Once you have a horse, you’ll want to train them. You may train up to five horses at once, and training runs once per week. Every time your horse trains, it will gain stats. Make sure you post a stat tracker on each horse you own. You’re responsible for keeping this up to date. Stats are important for competing as well as breeding, and will add value to your horse.
- Make use of your horse’s boosted stats and compete them. Horses don’t need to be trained in order to compete, but it will definitely help. Races are held every Sunday, and one month constitutes a racing ‘season.’ Horses with the most wins in one season have a chance at the championship. Some holidays and events also come with themed races, which will award special rosettes and ribbons.
- Horses can be bred with or without training and competing, though well trained horses will produce foals with much better stats. The PSH Association spares no expense on scientific and medical provisions, supporting your stable aspirations with luxuries such as same-sex breeding and supplements to boost genetic likelihoods, should you desire to use them.
- The PSH Association is proud of every racing season and event it hosts, and has launched a continued collection of stamps for every occasion. These stamps don’t do anything other than act as decoration, but may be a fun way to log your participation in the breed, so feel free to start collecting them.

Conformation
Height
The average height of Polperros is 16 to 17 hands.
The shortest allowed is 14 hands, and the tallest is 18 hands.
Hands are measured in quarters, so the next height up from 15.3 is 16.0.
Eye Color
Through means yet unknown to science, Polperros may have any color eye.
Coat Color
genetics guide
Polperros are consistently being bred for excellence, so the likelihood of introducing new genes to the pool is quite high! Polperro also uses kit complexes, so tobiano and roan share a locus.
This is the current list of recognized genes.
* denotes a breed specific gene.
Black, Wild Bay, Bay, Seal Brown, Chestnut
