Artist Rules & Guidelines

Welcome to the Breeding Barn! This is where you can combine two animals' codes to create new ones. Please take some time to read over the rules before you make some magic!

:: Rules & Guidelines ::

• Kindness & respect towards staff, farmers, and the rules is mandatory

• You may not request a breeding without the proper items
(You must already possess a Standard Love Potion or a Mysterious Love Potion)

• Breedings can only be completed if your farm is up to date

• Each animal may participate in a breeding once a month

• Animals' breeding slots cannot be traded for or sold

• Breedings always produce two offspring

• If two parents are the same, they will produce offspring from the same species

• If two parents are different, they will produce one offspring from each species

• Accessories and custom lines do not pass
(Line edits such as wings, tails, etc. can pass)

• There is no trait or rarity list to encourage creativity
(Animals must have a pixel outline/cannot be lineless, no animals may be custom lined
unless done by permanent staff/with a CCT, must be one of the available species)

• Specific traits or design elements cannot be requested

• Breeding requests are to be submitted on this page with the artist's provided form, please take note
of their open/closed status
(They may offer breedings for free or at a price of their choosing, excluding irl currency)

• You may not submit a new breeding request until your previous request is complete

• There is a maximum of 3 breeding requests per user per month

• Animals may not participate in breedings if they are currently being traded, gifted, or sold

• Offspring cannot be traded, sold, or rehomed until they reach 1 full month after their creation date

• Breedings between animals of different users MUST have proof of agreement and/or quote the request to confirm
(Users MUST also provide proof of agreement when posting their completed form on an offspring's page)

• Hubs may not be created without submitting an entry at the nursery artist search and being accepted, or receiving permission from the species owner

• If receiving offsping will change your farm's rank, please fill out a form at Farm Maintenance

• If you choose not to keep an offspring or can only keep one due to the limit of 50 animals per farmer, the other offspring will be moved to the Rehoming Pen located at the Auction Block

:: Artist Rules & Requirements ::

• Breeding Barn artists may offer 4 breedings per year (Jan. - Dec.) that do not require a breeding potion, at their discretion
(These are not to be saved for personal breedings or friends, but for regular requests)

• Accessories cannot pass, but may be requested and are fully at the discretion of the artist

• Requests may not be sent or accepted through pms
(The possibility of a breeding may be discussed, but cannot be accepted without posting)

• Breeding Barn Artists may complete personal breedings (per month) at half the rate they complete requests
(2 completed breedings = 1 personal breeding - this may be adjusted at a later date)

• Breeding Barn Artists may make 1 personal breeding per month without a love potion
(Additional breedings will require a potion - this may be adjusted at a later date)

• Personal breedings should still be posted, even if both parents are yours
