Shadow Lugia raid battle

Moonshire, the north point of the heartcatch region where the sky tends to be a bit pinker and sweeter. A mountainous reign crowns the tight knit community, tucking it away within the cliffs and ravines. Here lies the strongest mages and psychic pokemon, driven here by the strong psychic aura and gossip of legends that spewed from where the clouds meet the peak of the mountains. Here they wait for the legendary pokemon they've come to know through traditional stories, knowing one day they will peak over the horizon to greet them.

Today the air felt cold and crisp rolling a subtle breeze like a blanket over the town, carrying a familiar smell but intensified. The habitant pokemon of the cliffsides seemed restless and nervous. The hues of the pink sky seemed to fade to a dark royal purple almost instantly at duskfall, the winds grew stronger as trainers rushed out of their dwellings. Pokeballs clutched in their hands, anxiously grabbing their gear for what they have anticipating for many years. What they have trained for has finally come! Wild pokemon braced themselves as the looming shadow engulfed the town, It's powerful claws perching itself on a steep cliff which overlooked them all. The pokemon's red eyes seemed to grow bright with curiosity and power, Intimidation fell over all the pokemon and trainers as they gathered in swarms to admire the beauty of the legendary pokemon they have told many stories about. Shadow lugia had finally come out to greet Moonshire.

Pokemon Used - Lancelot the Meowth, Antonidas the Pyroar (Cameo from Ophelius whose myo isn't done yet...)

1074 Words!
Code: Select all
Not every Pokemon within Moonshire was accompanied by a trainer. Perhaps it was only natural that some Pokemon simply sought to meet such an incredible legendary and gaze upon it with their very own eyes. ‘Wild’ was not quite the correct term for any member of House Blackmyre, whose people had travelled from their abode to witness the spectacle for themselves. Where they came from, pokeballs had little meaning…but battles? Battles meant a lot to them. As such, it might have been of no surprise that the king, Antonidas, had brought some of his best men and his sons with him on this trip to encounter Lugia and test their mettle against the guardian of the seas.

Something was different about this one, though. It was darker than the ones that House Blackmyre mentioned in stories and epics. Those eyes…unsettling. King Antonidas was beginning to have a few second thoughts at the sight as he put the pieces together in his head-- this was no ordinary Lugia. His facade, however, would not have any of that. They would have their fight today, and with that he would see which of his knights (and sons) were capable of competing with a legendary Pokemon.

The first to act was also the least likely of them all: Lancelot, the young prince who was set to take over for his father. No one thought that the scaredy-cat would dare oppose the ruler of the sea, much less actively challenge it first. The Meowth was settled on the back of his personal guard Ophelius, the Flygon keeping an uneasy distance between Lugia and them. This…wouldn’t last much longer as Prince Lancelot chose to make the first move. The cat’s eyes began to glow, back arching as he worked up his nerve and slowly-building courage to form a massive indigo ball of energy from his mouth. With a mighty roar, the Meowth fired his Roar of Time at the Lugia, reality distorting around the strike.

As it connected, the others fell quiet. King Antonidas struggled to keep up his facade. After all, that was his son. As much as he might have pushed Lance, he would prefer that his son never put himself into harm’s way. The beam connected with the Lugia, whose attention had been poised elsewhere-- likely toward trainers with their actual bonded Pokemon. What did it have to fear from a ton of wild Pokemon, after all? The beam suggested otherwise, its head snapping around and scanning for the source of its agony.

But there was no Dialga. There was no Darkrai, there was no Arceus. What had fired off such a powerful attack? Its glowing red eyes finally fixated on the Flygon that had quickly made its escape away. Surely not. That insect surely couldn’t be the cause…and yet, Lugia elected to fire off an Aeroblast in retaliation. One of the few moves that had not yet been corrupted by the shadow that overtook its body.

The sharp gust of winds sent Ophelius spiraling, Lancelot holding onto the Flygon for dear life as the two slammed into the dirt. It was something of a rough landing, but it was one that they’d have to work with. The silence suddenly changed into hushed chatter and murmuring, the citizens not sure what to think of the whole display. It was only a moment later that King Antonidas spoke.

“We did not come all this way to be upstaged by my son, did we?”

Another long pause. The Pyroar growled in agitation before turning and facing the Lugia that had already begun to return its attention elsewhere. His mane began to emit an intense, beautiful blue that contrasted against the king’s red hues. He planted his paws in the dirt, staring down the legendary beast before letting off a powerful blast of fire. The blue flames were as mesmerizing as they were effective, though any distraction would be cut short by Antonidas speaking again. Louder this time. Angrier.

“DID WE?!”

This got the citizens motivated, beginning to rally and cheer as the flame engulfed the shadow Lugia. Once more, attention would come back to the pack of wild Pokemon-- and this time, it appeared a bit more ready to stay. These were no ordinary wild Pokemon, just like it was no mere Lugia. Its eyes began to glow brightly, wisps of red emanating from them as it reared its head back and let out a loud cry. The skies began to darken more, and some of the weaker Pokemon began to express discomfort. Shadow Sky was bound to ensure that every Pokemon present would have some reminder of their battle here today. Antonidas shrugged off the pain, letting out another rallying roar in response. The hardened veteran’s facade began to lapse, however, watching as his people began to engage the legendary on their own terms now. This was not actually his fight. Instead, it was his job to watch…and he had something far more important on his mind.

Antonidas hurried to the crash site where his son had hit the ground,  sighing as the Meowth had appeared to have simply fallen asleep. There was a tinge of relief knowing that he was okay, simply tired. Roar of Time wasn’t exactly a move that was made for a Meowth, after all-- he knew that Lance would grow into it one day, just not yet. He found himself being honest with his son for the firstt time in a while as he watched the battle begin to unfold amongst the royal knights and citizens against the Lugia.

“You don’t give yourself enough credit…who would’ve thought that you would strike the first blow here out of any of us. Even before your old man, eh…?”

The Pyroar managed to smile as he spoke. While he knew that Orphelius would keep Prince Lancelot safe, Antonidas felt as though he owed it to his son to stay at his side while he rested, instead watching the others fight Lugia. They both had done their part: They had struck decisive blows against the legendary, and furthermore had rallied together to get a fire lit in the hearts of those that followed them. If you asked King Antonidas who was the strongest combatant out there today, he would answer the same every time: It was the young Prince Lancelot, and he hoped that this fight with Lugia would help prove it one day to their subjects.

I absolutely love snakes & dragons, and am always happy to receive them.

1,139 words wrote:“You know what your job is, Aetherin.” The Boss’ words echoed in his mind as he headed out toward the specified location. “We’ve received reports of a pokemon down in the region causing havoc for the residents around it. Please go investigate.”
Aetherin was more than willing to go and check what the Boss had told him, partially worried. If it was happening in one area, what was to say if it spread out to the nearby town?
He passed through the main town center, popping into the town shop to pick up supplies. He gave a quaint greeting to the shopkeeper, trying to keep his words brief. I don’t have time to waste, Boss said that this seemed pretty urgent.
Collecting his goods, Aetherin headed out of the shop, tripping over something as he walked. Flustered, he scrambled to his feet, and the object he tripped over seemed to grin.
“Hello, Aetherin!” The shiny Eevee let out a yelp as he got his bearings back, before he realized who it was he was speaking to.
“H-Hoops! It’s rude to scare me like that!” Aetherin replied. The other shiny laughed, the rest of his body reappearing as he picked his head up off the ground. “What’re you doing anyways?”
“Bored.” Hoops replied, twirling around. “Nothin’ goes on in this town, y’know? Everyone’s so booooring.” Aetherin seemed unamused as the Jolteon hybrid spoke, and Hoops laughed in response. “Can barely keep myself together! Seems like I’m falling apart.”
“I’m sorry to hear that. I can’t stay much longer to talk, I have Court business to attend to.”
This piqued Hoops’ interest, and the Jolteon got close to Aetherin’s face. “Do tell.”
“I can’t tell you.” Aetherin replied, beginning to walk away toward where Boss had told him to head. “It’s private business.”
“Aw, c’mon! I can really lend you a paw here!” One of Hoops’ paws landed next to Aetherin for dramatic effect. “I promise I’ll be helpfuuuuul.”
Aetherin groaned. “No.”
“Well, that’s too bad.” Hoops manifested next to him as he walked. “I’ll just follow you anyways. No rules against that.”
The Eevee groaned, rolling his eyes. “I forget you’re technically a demigod.”
“You know it! So, where are we headed?”

The two of them stopped at an outcrop, opting to stop for a break. Hoops twirled around in the air, manifesting a wormhole ring that he shoved a paw into. Moments later he pulled out a comically large pillow, setting it onto the ground and dismissing the wormhole ring, and Aetherin quirked a brow. He decided it was better not to say anything.
“So, I’ll cut straight to the point.” Hoops said after a moment. “Where we’re going.. It wouldn’t have anything to do with the recent tremors down in that cliff town, would it?”
“H-Hey, how’d you--”
“Demigod, remember?” Hoops laughed. “I figured as much. Wasn’t much longer before the Court decided to investigate.” The Jolteon hummed, head spinning around in place for a moment. “I’ll say, I think this’ll have interesting implications.”
“What do you mean, implications?”
“Don’t worry. I’m sure you’re smart enough to figure it out by the time we get there.” Hoops replied. “It’ll make sense when we get there to see it.”
“Helpful.” Aetherin replied sarcastically. “Whatever. We should probably take a nap or something, so we can be better prepared for getting to the town.”
“Got it, boss!” Hoops replied, but his tone was light. He spun around before he landed on his pillow, seeming to fall asleep almost immediately.
Aetherin stared at him for a moment, gaze not shifting. What could he mean, interesting implications? Was it more than just some raging pokemon causing an issue in some small little town? He let out a breath as he laid his head on his paws, mulling it over. Hoops was probably just joking with him, as he normally was.. At least Aetherin hoped.
He held onto that hope as he fell asleep.

He was awoken as the ground rumbled, scrambling to his feet. The tremors lasted for a few seconds, calming down soon after. Aetherin stood unmoving for moments after, until Hoops gave him a nudge.
“We need to get moving.” Aetherin replied, moving to collect his things, and Hoops gave a nod. His collection was quick, and the two dashed toward their destination, ever closer.
“I wonder what’s going on over there.” Hoops replied as they hurried, looking toward the general area the cliff town was in. “Can’t be anything good, considering those tremors.”
“No duh, Hoops.” Aetherin replied. “That’s why we’re going to investigate.”
Hoops chuckled, and said nothing else as they continued along the path toward the town tucked away behind the mountains. Aetherin wasn’t looking forward to trying to get through the mountains if the tremors were to get worse..
The Eevee wasn’t sure how much time had passed since they’d taken off running again, but the scenery had turned into a blur as they ran. Hoops was uncharacteristically quiet, but Aetherin didn’t have the time or care to press into it further. Hoops soon tore ahead of him, stopping a moment or so later to scout.
“Aeth!” Hoops called back. “We’re almost there!”
Aetherin skidded to a stop next to the Jolteon, and he could see the town down below them. Most of it seemed to be rather fine, a quiet and peaceful town. Was this really where this unknown pokemon was rampaging?
Hoops stared down toward it for a moment. “We need to get moving. It’s about to come back.”
Without warning Hoops shot ahead, and Aetherin scrambled after him. “H-Hey!”
The eevee tripped over his feet by the time they made it to the town, and Hoops helped him up. “Aetherin, we--”
The ground shook underneath Aetherin’s feet, and the Eevee’s head whipped around. The Court member dashed forward toward where the tremors were coming from, determined to help with what he was tasked to do - investigate what was causing the havoc in town.
He stopped when what it was reared up, standing tall before him, and Hoops appeared behind him.
Standing high, before them, was Lugia, the god of the seas. Corrupted, dark, taken over by some unknown force.
And the god spotted him, and it let out a loud roar. Aetherin shrunk down a bit, but he stood his ground.
“H-Hoops, I need you to go tell the Court about what we found.” The Eevee said as the Lugia prepared to attack.
“And leave you here?”
“Go!” Aetherin snapped back. Hoops did not respond, simply disappearing into a wormhole ring, and the Jolteon was gone.
And immediately after, the Eevee was struck with the sea god’s large tail, and he hit the wall.
He would not see the outcome of the fight, as he was knocked unconscious upon impact.
Interesting implications, indeed.

Prompt: Orb swam around in the river as Aqua watched, picking seashells. The two were taking a day off at the river, to relax and get some sun. The Magikarp-Eevee fusion leapt up onto the shore and shook her fur out. Aqua ducked as the water sprayed her, and Orb laughed, "Don't you like water? You're a Totodile!" Aqua scoffed playfully, "I do, but not when-" The Totodile was cut off as Vision stomped through the bushes, nearly out of breath, "Hey! Guys! Something happened, and I don't know what it is, but Lollipop asked me to get you two. Everyone else is there already." Vision motioned for the two to quickly follow her. Aqua quickly waddled after Lollipop, and Orb ran after the two. Once the three had arrived at the guild, Lollipop let out a sigh of relief, "I'm glad you two are safe." Orb and Aqua shared a confused look, wondering why Lollipop had been worrying about their safety. Lollipop looked around at the other guild members, and looked back to Orb and Aqua, "There's been a disruption in the world. In the middle of a forest, a large rift has opened up and a huge Pokemon came out of it. The area near it is evacuated, but we're going to check it out." Inferno was sat worriedly next to Eddie, who towered over the smaller Pokemon. Lollipop motioned for the guild to follow her, and so they did.

Sprout looked around anxiously, worried about what they would stumble upon. She was never good with fighting and hoped it wouldn't come to that. Her small paws barely made any noise on the forest floor, unlike Eddie's, who large paws made a sound with every step. Lollipop came to a stop, and Sprout looked over Lollipop's figure, her heart dropping as she saw a large, dark Pokemon sleeping on the ground. The Eevee hesitated a bit, before walking over to the Pokemon, and clearing her throat, "Who are you and what are you doing here?" She asked the waking figure. A red eye opened, and the Pokemon lifted its large neck and stood up. "Who am I? I am your god." Sprout stood back, unnerved by the large Pokemon, who continued to speak, "I am XD001, or if it's easier, Lugia." The Sprigatito looked confused. The Lugia she had heard of was white and respectable, this Lugia was black and egotistical. "Now, your pathetic little lives mean nothing to me, so why don't you scram before I end you all?" Lugia threatened. Lollipop scoffed, "Your words mean nothing to us. Tell us what you want." Lugia rolled their eyes, "Control, power, the usual. I will dominate your world, and you will be kept as my servants." Lollipop stood her ground, but Sprout could see her legs shaking with anxiety. "We won't let you do that!" Lollipop shouted, though her words were without backing. The Lugia could sense her fear and laughed, "How won't you let me do that? None of you are strong enough to defeat me." Lollipop snarled, "We'll be back, XD001." She turned and walked away, motioning for her guild members to follow her.

Frost looked over the book she was reading, an ancient tale about Lugia. Lollipop had tasked her with trying to find a solution to their problem, but nothing had turned up. The Eevee was pacing back and forth but jumped in shock as Frost let out a shout of victory, "I may have found something! It says the legendary Pokemon Ho-oh and Lugia are opposites and can quell each other." Lollipop ran over to the Alolan Vulpix, "That's great news! How can we get Ho-oh to help us?" Frost hesitated for a moment, before reading a passage from the book, "A Clear Bell can summon Ho-oh when rang." Lollipop tilted her head, "How do we find a Clear Bell." Frost clicked her tongue, "I'm not sure, but I know one is in the museum around here." Lollipop's eyes brightened and a mischievous smiled overtook her face. Frost noticed and sighed, "We are not stealing it. I'll go ask the museum staff if we could borrow it." Lollipop laughed, "Borrow a priceless and ancient relic? As if they'd ever let anyone!"

"I see I was wrong." Lollipop said as Frost brought the Clear Bell to her. "Now, we ring it and I hope it'll work." Frost said and rung the bell. Patchwork and the other guild members watched the two with intent. Frost looked around in confusion as nothing happened, but Lollipop looked up and saw a rainbow, and getting ever so nearer, the shape of a large Pokemon. As the Pokemon lowered, it was obvious it was Ho-oh, whose feathers shined brilliantly in the sun. As Ho-oh landed, Lollipop let out a sigh of relief and bowed to the legendary Pokemon, "Ho-oh, Guardian of the Sky, we request your help. Lugia has appeared near us and is trying to take over us and make us their servants." Ho-oh looked at Lollipop, "Lugia, you say? Guardian of the Seas, appearing here?" Ho-oh asked. Lollipop rubbed the back of her neck, "Well, XD001, but they also introduced themself as Lugia." Ho-oh's eyes widened and then shut, "XD001 is no normal Lugia. That is Shadow Lugia, a Guardian of the Sea corrupted. Show me where they are." Lollipop nodded and dashed towards the forest, Ho-oh and the guild following her. Shadow Lugia was sleeping once again, and Ho-oh let out a call to wake the Pokemon up. XD001 yawned and when they opened their eyes, looked shocked, "Ho-oh? What are you doing here?" The Guardian of the Sky scoffed, "Here to stop you. You aren't like any Lugia I know. You've been so corrupted by hatred you have been consumed by darkness." XD001 sniffed, "Maybe I have. What's it to you?" Ho-oh leapt at XD001, attacking them. The Lugia hissed and flew up, with Ho-oh following them. As the guild watched the two Guardians battle in the air, Lollipop sent a silent prayer it would end in victory for Ho-oh.

MYO choice: Entei ( spaceworld beta form : I have an idea for him ♥ )
Prompt:
When Lugia advanced, he created a wave of fear and awe in the ranks. Everyone reacted differently to this Lugia having the different color and aura. On one side of the field, a magic portal opened, and a peculiar Uxie came out. His name was Savoir quite simply because he knew everything about the universe, having brought this same knowledge to the human being. Savoir is blind, so he can't see Lugia, but just arriving in this world of terror sent shivers down his spine... He stared in the direction of the other legendary pokemon and looked at it without seeing it sighing, because even without seeing it, he could feel its power, and he knew it was totally abnormal.

Suddenly, a Fletchling named Flambu followed him out of the portal, and landed near him, on a tree branch.
- You felt it, didn't you? – asked the Fletchling to the Uxie
- Yes, as I had predicted... - replied his friend - Now the world is in danger... This Lugia is not the one of this world, his color and his rage testify to it... He comes from another world lost in time... And if he arrived, the consequences will be terrible, because his aura is able to corrupt other pokemon... If nothing is done, the dark times will return, and humans and pokemon can never be friends again...
- Then it must be stopped!

Without waiting for Savoir's answer, Flambu rushed at full speed, with the speed that was his. His goal was to distract Lugia by taking advantage of his small size and taking advantage of his many hours of training, in order to reach the legendary giant. But in an instant, a Psychic attack from Savoir pulled him back.
- Poor fool! - he shouted to the little Fletchling - If you want to finish KO then go for it! But that's not how we'll beat him!
- How do you...? - Flambu was confused and disoriented about being dragged back, especially in such a short time
- How could I see you being blind? Remember that I know all... In any case, we need a strategy and we have to stay united...
- I want to help too! – suddenly shouted a little Hisuian Sliggoo named Snoumy who was hiding in the bushes, when he came out of his shell
Flambu seemed perplexed…
- But you can barely move… - he said – How do you want to help?
- I don't know, but I want to help!
Savoir approached the snail pokemon and touched its forehead with one hand. Immediately, his eyes shone a little, then he smiled:
- This little one will help us a lot…
- But how ? – asked Flambu
- He can weaken Lugia and protect himself with his shell… People think you have to send your best pokemon and attacks… But I see… I see a lot of mega evolution, Z attacks or Dynamax, but it won't be not enough, far from it...
- But the faster and harder you hit, the more it will be weakened! It seems logical!
- It's good because it seems logical that Lugia himself wants us to do it... After all, shadows and corruption feed on fear, unhappiness and other negative feelings. And for them, nothing is more delicious than the fear and panic of people, and what can create such a crowd? To tell themselves that all is lost... And if no super attack does any damage to it, the desperate trainers will flee with their knocked-out companions. As for the wild pokemon remaining in the place, they will just flee, and Lugia will take up residence in this city which will become his...
- And what will he do next…? – asked Flambu very worried
- He will destroy the city and build his nest on the ruins and the ashes… Nobody around will survive, not even the plants. Then he will plunge into a deep sleep that will seem endless. You would think that if he is sleeping it is nothing, but it will be worse than if he were awake! While sleeping, his power will have all the time it wants to grow and become intense. Eventually, when its power has reached its peak, the point of no return will be reached and pokemon will be corrupted one after another, and the world will be doomed... There will be no going back, and in a few years, the world will be completely destroyed, and those at the origin of all this madness will have gained what they wanted… The end of this poor world, which however did nothing wrong…
Flambu seemed to reflect when he saw Savoir lower his head. It hurt him to see poor Uxie so sad, because he knew Savoir hated predicting such tragic futures. He also knew that Savoir did not necessarily like this gift he had acquired the day he lost his sight. This sight created a flame of determination in him.
- So if I understand correctly, you have to take him by surprise? – asked Flambu
- Yes - Confirmed Savoir - If we take advantage of the surprise effect by bringing into battle pokemon that the opponent considers weak, the latter will lower his guard and will be much easier to kill. And once he is knocked out, Lugia will return to his ordinary appearance, or it will be much easier to heal him.
Flambu stared at Snoumy:
- Are you ready kid?
- More than ready sir!
- So let's go… Get ready to lower his defense and poison him!
- Understood ! I trust you.
- Thanks kid.
Flambu smiled and waited for Snoumy to go back into his shell, in order to catch him. The lightness of the snail pokemon allowed him to lift it and carry it to Lugia. Many pokemon and trainers had joined the fight from the start, but just as Savoir predicted, many were losing hope. They were then surprised to see a bird propel a snail at the mighty legendary, before the snail launched an attack that blinded Lugia with a sticky slime. Hope began to be reborn in the city, by this simple action of a pokemon whose existence was unknown, and which also seemed to come from a distant era and passed for years. Even the wild pokemon came back to lend a hand, and who would have thought that alone, a Rattata could seem weak, but that with his pack, they could stand up to Lugia? In any case, it is a scene that Flambu saw from the sky.

As the battle raged, Savoir stayed atop the nearby hill watching the fight in her own way.
- Good luck to you friends… From now on, the fate of the world rests in your hands… - he said starting to pray that everything will be fine

The Lugia roared, shooting a blast into the air once more as it struggled to break free from the rubble it was caught under. Scout and Tabasco looked at each other, fear in their eyes. They didn't know what to do, the Lugia was scared, hurt, and was unable to trust the small pokemon who were trying to help it. The pair looked at the Lugia once more, flinching as it roared again, shooting another blast into the sky causing more lightning to strike down. They then looked back to each other with determined looks before nodding, both knowing exactly what they needed; a plan.
And their team was great at doing just that.

lugia, the diving pokemon, known to be apart of the tower duo with ho-oh. the trio master of the legendary birds, zapdos, moltres and articuno. the alabaster islands regard him as one of their protectors from any harm or threat that they may face due to his everlasting care for all pokemon. when the islands are safe, the gentle giant would only usually show himself to those who he though of as pure hearted, it wouldn't be the first time somemon had decided to use a legend to aid in some nefarious scheme...

dust would wake up, eariler than everymon else as usual, checking everyone else was alright in the base. he would open up the mailbox, expecting the usual requests and such. while flicking through the new mail, most letters looking the same old ( but maybe with a neat adventure for a part of his team ! ) yet a certain letter would grab his attention. it was crumpled and seemed to have the front quickly scribbled down. after he'd got the the end of reading it, his entire day's structure was thrown off (something very unusal for him). he'd hastily pack together supplies, accidentity waking some of the others up. he'd wake up the others, quickly explain the situation and send off the pair he first set his mind on. after choosing the duo he'd set on this task, he'd think to himself: those two need to finally get along anyway.

rot and wraith were sent to face the eye of the storm after a desperate letter was sent to their mailbox. the group was slowly weakening the creature, however their supplies were running low quick. wraith was trying to lighten the mood, yet rot persisted that they needed to get there, and quick. "oh come on now, don't you ever try to settle down a bit ? i'm surprised you don't have wrinkles from all the stress you put yourself under." wraith would snicker. "well if you understo- what do you mean by that." rot would glare at the giggling ghost. "oh c'mon, i'm just messing with you !!" he would grin and float off while rot would glare while trundling along behind him. unlike wraith, he'd been carrying the supplies they needed to bring with his extra flytraps. they'd walk for a few more hours, with the occasional break or two until they got to the area. wraith was cracking jokes along the way, much to rots disdain. they would reach the end of the forest, the last layer of foliage separating them and the current events happening in heart town. the pair expected something bad, yet it was still worse than what they thought.

CRASH. the rain hammered down, the dark clouds circling like a pack of hungry vultures. the sky would light up with thunder as a warning to the nearby pokemon. the great beast would loom amidst the storm, yet something was off about him. the usual pearly white skin was turn into a tar-like black, his back feet turned into sharpened talons and his mask sharpened and turned a silvery grey. his red eyes circled around, watching.
a sickening cry would be followed by a beam of energy blasted into the ruined town below... the place home to the brass tower. pokemon were gathered below, shooting out attacks at the out of control beast while the injured were taken to safety to be aided. the entire town was in ruin, no building was left standing, rubble scattered everywhere to the point the ground was no longer in sight. the beast was showing it's weariness, yet it still persisted. still not content with all the destruction it had caused, it's would open it jaws again to fill the empty space of the ruined town with another hyper beam; being retaliated with another barrage of attacks from the pokemon below.

no pokemon had seen destruction like this before, at least not by what once was a loving, gentle giant. lugia was usually seen by many to the the spread of calm and care, making the shadowy form of seem like a former shell of what it once symbolised for the pokemon of the alabaster islands. the longer it remained upon the cloud the more exhausted it seemed, the loud, booming flaps of it's wings would cease as it would glide down to the ruins below, grasping it's talon upon the highest peak of the town. the duo had finally made it down the cliffside, yet their travels would cease as they caught the creatures attention. it would screech and lunge a beam of ice in the direction. wraith would teleport them out of harms way just on the nick of item, yet this only seem the anger it more. it could clutch it's talons together, breaking apart the structure and leaving it to crumble and approached its current, unfortunate targets.

it would stare at the duo for a moment, hesitation within it's eyes as it had regained slight control over what seemed to envelop it. the pause had gave the pokemon around to hit it all with their most powerful moves, hitting the last of it's health right out of it. it would stagger for a moment before falling onto the ground below. the dark aura around him would fade, revealing the usual state of the legend. pokemon with healing iteam would rush over to help him, covering the damage with anything and everything helpful they could find. the raging storm overhead would calm and then dissapate as if nothing had ever happened, it would instead turn into a light show of rain as if they sky itself was intertwined with the legend itself. it was... somewhat calming as well, the light pitter patter as the droplets would hit off of the ruins was akin to some kind of quiet yet meaningful song.

this wasn't something normal, rot would think to himself, what would cause a pokemon to become corrupted? as he thought to himself, he'd notice something among the deep rubble, a shimmering, golden feather.

After collecting the Time Flute and luring Shadow Lugia to the Relic Stone, Pavel rejoices with his new found friends that he made along his journey. This mission could have ended in disaster if the Lugia's heart stayed closed as it was brought closer to civilization. It was a risky operation, though through sweat and determination he feels he's saved the day, and no one has to get hurt!

But as the small mon of the forest is tossed to the side, it becomes clear that something is wrong... Could it be that Pavel has unknowingly brought destruction to the region in his misguided attempt at purifying this great beast...? It may have been too soon to celebrate a success...

Darkness falls upon the Heartcatch region. Shadow Lugia is coming.
