The Mormont Equine Society is a recently founded group dedicated to the conservation and promotion of two closely related modern British breeds; the Mormont Pony and the Mormont Sport Horse. These two breeds find their origins in a number of European stock, with the intention to create versatile horses capable of outclassing their predecessors.
The Mormont Equine Society (MES) oversaw the creation of the Mormont Pony breed in the early 20th century and originally consisted of only a few hobbyist breeders. By the 1950's the MES became nationally recognised and numbers had grown exponentially as the developing two breeds garnered interest. The MES now holds a number of shows annually and keeps a record of all registered horses. More recently, they have also been given the responsibility of controlling feral Mormont populations through rehoming programs.

our rehoming program. I'm Lin ─ I'm in charge of making sure things
run smoothly around here. Some of these Mormonts are rehomed from
the wild, and others have been owned before but need a new home,
so we facilitate their sale.
Take a look around! You can inspect our available Mormonts, check the
registry, or find out more about the history of the breed. Stick around
and you'll discover the benefits of being a part of our society!

RULES
These rules are subject to change at any time. New or updated rules will be indicated using bright text.
If you are having trouble with a community or staff member, please come to me, Arkinhallow, to resolve the issue. You can contest a strike or ban by PMing me. Discussion with staff will result in a final decision.
─ As always, CS rules must be followed at all times.
─ Be respectful to staff and community members at all times. Guilt-tripping or being rude or argumentative is not acceptable behaviour.
─ Mini-modding is not allowed. If you see or have an issue, report it to me or a moderator.
─ Bigotry in any form in a community space is not acceptable.
─ You must have a stable page you can link to in order to adopt. You may share stables with other users.
─ Stables will need to be registered in order to breed, compete, or ride out. You can register on the registry page.
─ Mormonts must not be sold for more than their original worth. They may be sold for real currency only if they were originally bought in that currency. Per CS rules, discussion of sales for real currency must occur off-site. Staff will not mediate or facilitate sales. Mormonts can be sold or traded for:
xx- art
xx- chicken dollars
xx- CS pets
xx- other Mormonts or CS-based adopts (provided their rules allow it)
xx- breeding slots from Mormonts or other CS-based adopts (provided their rules allow it)
xx- any other website currency e.g. DA points, FR treasure, etc.
─ If you are selling a horse, do not update the register until you have received payment. This avoids any problems if the buyer cannot come up with funds or rescinds a trade before you can accept.
─ If you are selling/gifting a horse, both the new and old owners must post on the horse's page confirming the transfer. This confirms that both parties agree to the ownership change. The previous owner needs to post to the register update thread so that the information can be updated in the register.
─ As a closed species, creating your own mormont is not permitted. Changing the coat design of a mormont you own is also not allowed. You are welcome to add items, tack, etc. of your own design, however these will not be added to the official reference.
─ You cannot claim designs that you do not own.
─ Mormonts cannot be taken offsite e.g for use in HARPG on deviantart. Websites like weebly or wix are permitted for character storage.
─ Users who are banned from CS are considered banned from Mormonts. Banned users cannot claim their adopts under another account -- they will be readopted out to the community after a period of 1 month.
─ Please contact me directly if a competition has run over 30 days without being judged. Do not pressure or harass individual staff to judge competitions.
