With fur as soft as silk, and paw-padded vestigial wings, Belkits may not be able to fly but they will certainly leap into your heart. Revived via fossils found in 2047, no one expected Belkit to be such easy-going creatures given their wild heritage. However, even without trying, the scientists originally responsible for reviving the species accidentally domesticated them simply by spending time with them and thus rendered them unable to be released in the wild. Belkit are lazy by nature and having humans to take care of them was far too good an opportunity for them to pass up. Simply refusing to be bred feral, Belkit were officially labeled a domestic species and from there Belkits began to spread throughout homes all across the world.

Belkit are a feline-adjacent species with a few key differences and a few key similarities. They are nocturnal creatures with small triangle noses, soft fur, and long tails. By contrast, they sport two vestigial wings and a pearlescent horn coming out of the back of their head. The purpose of these features is still being researched as up until now they have seemed entirely useless outside of visual uniqueness.

1) Belkits are a closed species, you may not make your own.
2) If you no longer want your Belkit you may trade it for other Belkits, gift it, or ask the original artist to readopt it out.
3) As of now you may not sell them or transfer them off species.
4) Do not make AU versions of your Belkit, this gets around the no transferring off species rule and will not be tolerated. Alternate lore for origins, worlds, etc. is permitted as long as your Belkit does not change species.
6) You may own as many Belkits as you like and try out as often as you wish.
7) As of now Belkits may not be co-owned, only one person is allowed to claim ownership of a single Belkit design.
8) Respect not only the staff but the community as well, bullying, harassment, or general aggression will not be tolerated.

Horn: Present on the very first Belkits, the glowing horn seems to be a recessive trait and has become rare among the species.
