Shiagan herders are a hybrid breed of dog refined from the Northern Inuit Dog, Shikoku Inu, and Australian Shepherd breeds. They are a wolf-like breed with long legs, a narrow muzzle, sharp standing ears and a slightly curled tail. They are athletic and can be used as herding or hunting dogs.

Shiagan Herders were developed in the world of Arkylia, on the island of Borakir, and are currently the predominant breed living on the isle. Quite a few have gotten loose on the island, and they have started forming feral packs, competing with each other for territory. Show dogs are accepted in many colors and patterns, including black, chocolate, dilute, brindle, merle, piebald, tweed and more.

The isle of Borakir is separated from the mainland by a sizable strait, and is dominated by mountains near it's coasts, with a large grassland in the middle dotted by lakes and small forests. It has nearly 3600 square feet of land, and is nearly untouched save for a few small towns near it's eastern edge, where ports and ferries can be found moving to and from the mainland.
