sovereign sabers are a prehistoric sabertoothed cat species that has recently been revived by scientists and placed into
controlled environments in order to be monitored. sovereigns are heavy on gene-splicing and creative freedom, so
there's bound to be a sovereign that suits your fancy!

THE PAST

sovereign sabers, or felis regina, are a long extinct species of sabertooth cat. they were a matriarchal species,
with the females standing at a little over 5ft and ruling over their packs with an iron claw. they also brandished large manes
and beards, as well as bigger tusks than the males. the males would typically take on a hunting role, while the females
handled the more dirty work, such as protecting their pack and territory from intruders. cub watching was often split
between males and females, until adolescence age, where they were trained to either hunt or fight.

THE PRESENT

due to scientific advancements, a research lab was able to take the dna of a female and male sovereign and create living,
breathing remnants of the past. after breeding a large number of them, scientists released them evenly onto four different,
climate-controlled islands to monitor them. as the populations grew, the lab began bringing individual sovereigns in to splice
their dna with that of other animals in order to experiment and gather information on how they would adapt. unfortunately,
there were sovereigns who did not react to the dna well, thus creating members of the species known as 'beasts' to the other
sovereigns. while they are welcomed into the packs, they are considered 'gods among men' to the rest of their species.

GENERAL COMMUNITY RULES
○ while i do not own sabertooth tigers (obviously), i do own the concept of this particular species of sabtertooth.
sovereigns are a closed species - you cannot make your own without permission or the use of an myo ticket.
○ do not harass, argue with, or attack other members on the community or staff. this may cause you to be blacklisted.
○ sovereigns cannot be sold for real currency - however they may be traded & sold for c$ to your hearts content. if
you have traded away a sovereign or received a traded sovereign, please be sure to post in the archive so that we
may update it. c$ sales only apply to sovereigns bought with c$, and must equal the amount purchased for or be equal
to that and the value of art added to the sovereign. you must own a sovereign for 1 month before it can be traded
or sold away.
○ you may create and host your packs on or off-site, however staff must be able to access it and read it - in other
words, make sure it's public.
○ if posted offsite, you must give proper credit to both the adopt designer, and the line artist (yours truly). if you're
unsure how an artist would like to be credited, ask! i promise we don't bite!

SPECIES/WORLDBUILDING RULES
○ sovereigns can be any color or pattern that exists naturally in animals (ie. the pink of an orchid mantis or the pattern
of a ladybug).
○ you may not own more than 10 sovereigns unless you purchase an item that increases your spots or find one during
exploration.
○ prompts and exploration are totally optional, however they do get you and your pack perks that those who do not
participate will not receive.
○ sovereigns may be any gender or sexuality, however a female presenting/identifying sovereign must be your queen.
sovereigns may be transgender, non-binary, agender, etc - so long as a female presenting/identifying sovereign is head
of your pack.
○ sovereigns & packs may not be co-owned.
○ breedings may be performed with any sovereign, regardless of gender. breedings may not be performed with a character
outside of the species/official nursery.
○ incestual & cub/adult relationships are not allowed.
○ you are allowed to create your own lore, names, and ranks for your packs, however they must still follow the base lore
of this species. for example, your leader does not have to be called a 'queen', but they must still be female presenting/
identifying. queen is just the overarching term.

STAFF RULES
○ staff are allowed 1 uncommon myo a month.
○ artists may not accept real currency for adopts.
○ full-time artists may to raffles/contests/auctions/flat sale adopts, ga's can only to raffles & contests.
○ full-time artists must make a minimum of 2-3 adopts a month, ga's must make a minimum of 3-4.
○ guest artists are employed for 2 months.
○ artists can make up any rarity adopts (however legendaries must be approved by me before going public.)
guest artists can only create up to uncommon rarity adopts.
○ guest artists have the opportunity to be brought on as full-time artists.
○ please be sure to complete your staff duties in timely manners.

weight edits, minimal fur edits (not beard or mane), accessories, scars, expression edits, naturally
occurring patterns & colors, mane/beard style (not length)

COMMON
longer tail, longer or shorter fur (not beard or mane), ear edits (not gene-spliced, must be cat
related), heterochromia

UNCOMMON
shorter or longer beard/mane edits (cannot be a full lion's mane), longer claws, shorter tusks,
no tail, missing eyes or limbs (not prompt related), pupil edits, tongue edits

RARE
gene-spliced ear/tail edits, lions manes, unnatural tusk colors, no tusks, small wings, horns,
patches of scales, feathers, etc, unnaturally occurring colors & patterns, tusk shape, multiple eyes

LEGENDARY
anatomical edits (ie. deer legs, bird feet, bear paws, etc), large wings, extra tusks, extra limbs,
large areas of scales, feathers, etc, bodily glow, mecha, skull mods (pig snouts, dog faces, etc)

BANNED
multiple heads, possibly more to come.

ADOPTING YOUR FIRST SOVEREIGN
adopting your first sovereign is easy! anyone is open to adopting any sovereign so long as they have enough spots open.
some adopts may be raffles, contest, auctions, or flat sales. when you adopt your first sovereign, you may begin creating your
pack. the first sovereign you adopt does NOT have to be your queen, but eventually you must adopt a female sovereign to be
your queen, as sovereigns are matriarchal. 'queen' is a general term used for a female presenting/identifying leader of a pack -
once you adopt a queen, you are allowed to title her and the rest of the ranks in your pack anything you like. the leader of your
pack MUST be female presenting/identifying. this species is matriarchal, and while you're allowed to create your own lore, that
is the main aspect i'd like to be kept throughout the community.

CREATING YOUR PACK
creating a pack can be as simple or as complex as you'd like it to be! you can create packs based of tarot cards, the army,
a royal court, etc, or you can make it as simple as alpha and omega. you may host your packs on or offsite, but we ask that if be
public in order for staff to see it. most people begin to create their packs after they adopt their first sovereign, but you may
begin creating them even before that. at the very most, packs should be created after adopting your first sovereign.

EXPLORATION & PROMPTS
prompts and exploration are totally optional in this arpg - if you just like collecting adopts, you're absolutely free to
do so! however, prompts and exploration allow you to level up or find items you can use on your sovereigns or in your packs.
prompts can be completed either by writing or by creating art. exploration can be done in the exploration thread, where one
of your sovereigns can explore their territory and find objects. during events, there will be related prompts and exploration -
such as the appearance of a haunted forest during halloween.

○ Q. does my pack leader have to be female?
A. yes - however they do not have to be cisfemale - they can be any gender that is female presenting/identifying.
since sovereigns are matriarchal, their packs will always be lead by a female.
