Keprens, keps for short

Keps are an interstellar species that are born in the core of a planet as it forms, and emerge from its crust when the planet finally cools and settles down. The kep will then live on its home planet until adulthood, where it will then head out into space in search of a companion, or multiple! It's lonely in space, after all. This is how keprens have come to reside on earth, enjoying the presence of the odd little humans!

Keps come in all ranges of colours and sizes, matching with the colours and size of their home planet more often than not. But very rarely, a kep will come forth who doesnt match their planet at all. On planets where any other life resides, Keps depend on this camouflage to survive, which is why it's so rare to see adults with oddities. But who knows! Maybe one will just happen upon you one day, drifting down from the stars in search of a friend.

✰ All of cs's rules applies
✰ You may not own a Kepren without permission/winning or purchasing one
✰ Kepren cannot be co-owned to avoid issues
✰ A user can only own up to ten kepren. Artist MYOs do not count towards this total
✰ If you bring your kepren off site (toyhouse, DA, etc) You MUST link back to the main page
✰ Do not whine, beg, or harass other users or staff
✰ Do not beg for MYOs or customs
✰ Do not take credit for your keprens design unless you actually designed it

✰ A kepren must be owned for at least three weeks before being traded away
✰ Keps can only be traded for other keps, or kep related items. No c$ or pets.
✰ All transfers of ownership must be confirmed by a mod or owner, for the archive

✰ Anyone found to be breaking rules will receive a strike, and three strikes constitutes a ban.
✰ In the case of a severe circumstance, a user may be banned immediately without strike
✰ The rules are subject to change, and therefor some behavior not listed her may constitute a ban

A banned user will be allowed to keep their keprens, unless the do not want to. In this instance the kep will be readopted out, and the user will lose all kepren items.




✰Some general info✰

-A kepren is naturally born, at their most powerful, every time a planet is born. They will reside in the planets core as they grow, before finally digging their way out to freedom once their planet full stabilizes. The kepren will always be associated with their planet, and their palette will match this planet except for in rare cases.

- Keprens planets can be either real discovered planets, or made up ones, for the sake of creative freedom.

-Keprens will always have an orb that gravitates around them, showing the status of their home planets health based on its colour, with dull colours meaning the life is fading.

- Keprens are incredibly intelligent and adaptable. They’re capable of learning and comprehending any spoken language, though they cannot speak themselves. They communicate primarily through a mixture of telepathy and body language, with the occasional hiss and guttural noise. Vocal chords aren’t quite needed in space after all!

-Melanistic and albino keprens are possible but very rare.

-A kepren alpha can be born when either a sun or black hole is created as well, but these are mythical in terms of rarity. They are solari alphas or lunas alphas.

-Keprens can “artificially” breed, by offering up fragments of their orbs power to create Cubs. When a cub is born through these means, the nearest lunas alpha will free a kepless planet from its grasp, providing a home planet for the new cub. A kep can only do this rarely, as they need time to recover afterwards.

-Keps do not technically have genders, but will oftentimes adapt pronouns for fun

-Keprens can be created within dwarf planets, but are always much smaller than an average kep

-Keprens have astoundingly long life spans, and will only die when either their planet dies or the Solaris alpha in their solar system passes, taking its keprens with it. This takes a very, VERY long time.

-Keprens, due to being born completely alone on a planet more times than not, desire companionships to a surprising degree. They leave their home planet once they come of age, and head out into the galaxies to try and discover companionship. This is how keprens have come to find earth, and they rather enjoy the weird little species that calls the planet home.

-Keps don’t need to breathe oxygen, rather they’ll use whatever gas is most abundant in their planets atmosphere to sustain themselves.

-Keprens almost always have gravitational pull, similarly to their planets, and those with a stronger pull can be found with belts of small stones around them, orbiting their neck most often. Rarely a Kep can have multiple belts in multiple places, and sometimes will even pull small human trinkets into their gravity by accident.

-They’re about the size of a draft horse on average, though there is quite a large variation in sizes depending on, once again, their planet. Dwarf planet and moon keps will always be quite smaller than keps of gaseous giants

-Keps dont need to eat to survive, as food is very limited in space, but they've recently started to consume earth foods out of sheer enjoyment. Fruits are a favourite in most, but theyre omnivores.

- Cheek horns, back spikes, shoulder spikes
- Lion tail, curled/husky tail, super long tail, extra fluffy cat tail
- Other pupil shapes, swirled/hypno eyes
- Heterochromia
- Gravitational fields creating a belt of stones around neck/waist/tail
- Smaller ears, upright ears
- Long dragon-like whiskers

- Multiple large/intricate horns
- Fluffy neck mane
- Multiple large edits, missing limbs, additional limbs
- Extra or no ears
- Multiple gravity belts
- Additional eyes on head
- Colours that do not match home planet colours

Very rare traits
- Second planetary orb
- 'Rings'
- Human items or plants in gravitational pull
- Small pseudo 'wings' (multiple is fine)
- Gene splicing (hooves, fish tails, gills, etc)
- Additional eyes along body
- Additional mouths on body/head
- Glowing eyes
- Glowing insides (Mouth, eyes, teeth, markings, etc included)

- Full wings, bat or feathered
- VERY intricate horns, oftentimes large and decorated in jewels and silks
- Completely black eyes
- Glowing(or non) goop dripping from eyes/nose/mouth
- Multiple wings
- Halos of light/dark
- INCREDIBLY long floor dragging fur/manes
- Metals inlaid onto body in intricate patterns
- Multiple "Planetary" orbs, except theyre small suns or black holes
- Any of the more common traits

✰Artist Compensations✰

Guest artists
Guest artists will receive one free uncommon MYO upon hire, as well as a free breeding slot for their keps. This MYO kep will not count towards their 10 Kep limit, and the breeding may be performed by either themselves or any artist with slots open if they agree. This breeding slot is guaranteed to have two cubs minimum.
GA's will also receive 10 star shards for every design made, with a max of 8 designs in their month.
If a GA goes on to become a full time artist, they will still receive 10 shards per design until their GA period is up, and then will receive artist comp.

Full time artists
Artists will receive one MYO for every two months of service, with their first MYO being a rare one and then uncommons or under after that. After 8 months of service, they will receive one mythical MYO. For every design a full time artist makes, they will receive 25 star shards, with a minimum of 3 designs a month and a max of 15. This is subject to change as the species develops further, but you will be notified well in advance if it does. Full time artists have a free breeding every month, and may either design it themselves or ask another artist.
A full time artists first MYO kep and their mythical kep will not count towards the 10 limit, but every other MYO will to avoid having 300 keps.

Moderators
Mods will receive 50 star shards per month, as well as an initial hire pay of 40 shards on top of the monthly pay!
