Lampyri-Fae

Lampyri-Fae are a bioluminescent breed of Fae, who are more kin to the Lampyridae (Fireflies) than traditional fae. Just like the traditional fae, Lampyri-Faes enjoy milk, honey and sugary treats. Lampyri-Fae are commonly mistaken as fireflies, Christmas lights, and light orbs often caught on camera. Sometimes you'll see them hitching a ride on the taillights of cars at night, or hiding in your holiday decorations year round. Just like the traditional fae, Lampyri-Fae are fairly small, ranging from 3-6 inches tall. They're easily befriended (With the right treats of course!) however, their idea of friendship mostly consists of hiding your car keys and shiny jewelry.

General Information

All Lampyri-Fae have bioluminescent glow on their Wings, Tail, and head.
This is due to the Photocytes, or light cells, that grow naturally from these areas,
Just like fireflies!
Lampyri-Fae are bipedal airfield animals, which means they walk on two paws,
and are able to fly. Their feline feet make them both agile and equipped to handle most terrain-
But they much would rather hang out inside your home!

All Lampyri-Fae have; large droopy Bunny ears, feline paws, long tails, and a pair of wings.

Some of these gorgeous fae have different types of glow to them, However this does not effect their rarity.
Some may be translucent with light shimmers, while others may be engulfed in a fog-like glow.



Life Cycle & Breeding

The Lampyri-Fae life cycle is a little similar to that of a butterfly-!
Adult Lampyri-Fae shed profusely once every two months, an offspring's
parents will weave an intricate cocoon together with the shed hair forming an bond unlike any other.

Lampyri-Fae can have up to two offspring at a time, and can only be bred once every two months.
Lampyri-Fae can breed regardless of gender identity.
Lampryi-Fae may not be bred with any family member, regardless of generation.

All cocoons will hatch immediately after being claimed, and will hatch fully grown.
There is a 2 week cool down for newly hatched Lampyri-Fae.

Rare

Boldly Glow, Partial photocyte deficiency, Wing edits (Design, not size), Halos,

Ultra Rare

Total photocyte deficiency, Smaller or Larger wings, Crystal growth, Plant growth, upright or other animal ears

Items
As said before, Lampyri-Fae LOVE shiny things.
Sometimes they will steal borrow objects from around the house such as;
Ribbions, Rings, Keys, Earrings, Buttons, Pins, Bottle caps, Soda Tabs, and more.
