Species Rules
This is a closed species. Creating non-canon adopts is forbidden.
Be polite. This is for fun, no other reason.
Do not steal art or concept... this includes species-specific genetics.
Speaking of genetics, no editing the genetics of your pet. (Syelf has a spreadsheet... they will KNOW.)
Be patient--Syelf has other obligations too, like a puppy. And NaNoWriMo.

This race lacks gender entirely--instead there are "compatibility groups". This will be explained elsewhere. Gender is not part of the species, is not marked/rolled, and is user preference only. Any two individuals within a compatibility group may breed.

CURRENT LIMIT: N/A
This will be set over time.

BREEDING LIMIT: 3x
Limit one foal each time, two may be possible with items in the future? Who knows.

Trading
Designs may NOT be sold, only traded or gifted for another character. [NO DA Points, C$, or other currencies.]
All designs must have FULL, up-to-date genetics to be traded. Syelf can alter the genetics to bring your adopt up to date for trading, if needed. Discord DM/CS PM them.

Trigenes get their name from their genome... which features three distinct sets of genetics. It also ROUTINELY makes people cry. However, because Trigenes were discovered by a programmer, who zero indexes, there's actually a fourth set of genetics...

Set 0: Chimeric Expression Genes
This set of genes is based on a custom set of fantasy genes and controls which sets of the other genes are actually visible. This is one of the species-specific gene sets.

SET 1: Canine [Kete] Genes
This set of genes is based on canine genetics.

SET 2: Horse [Heve] Genes
This set of genes is based on horse genetics.

SET 3: Trigens
This set of genes is based on a custom set of fantasy genes. This is one of the species-specific gene sets.

Breeding
Breeding is integral to the species. It's also obnoxiously hard because genetics.

Please note that almost every gene will have an equal, Mendelian chance to pass, with the possible exception of event genes.

Gender is NEVER rolled.
