A group of odd elders has showed up in your clan territory, saying they are just passing through. They talk with pride in their eyes about how many moons ago they came together from many separate clans to follow a prophesy from Starclan, and in honor of that they follow they same path they took practically a lifetime ago annually.

They group of elders, while spry in their hearts, have creaking bones and need to rest more than they used to. The group decides to settle just outside your territory, promising it will only be for a few days, and invite your clan to share-tongues in the mean time. They love to hear your stories and to tell some of their own, including how they back in their prime would compete to see who could climb higher in the tallest pine trees around. While they never quite were able to reach the tops of the trees, they all have great pride in their past accomplishments. The group of elders encourage your warriors to try and beat how far they used to be able to climb, and that you may as well bring them down some pinecones while you are up there anyways.

Elders always seem to know how to turn getting what they want into a game.

🌱 Welcome to Variegated's first ever event, The Great Pine Climb! By participating in prompts and games, you can win prizes, including items that can't be gotten anywhere else!

🌿 There are two main goals during the event - climbing further up the tree, called "Tail-lengths climbed", and collect the event currency, being pinecones! Tail-lengths climbed build up throughout the event by participating in prompts and games. These cannot be spent, and instead at the end of the event the top few climbers will receive grand prizes! Pinecones can also be collected from completing prompts and playing games, but is used as the event's currency. You can spend pinecones in games, on items, and even on some adopts! Your totals for both of these are stored in the Archive, under the "Event Archive" tab. Note that these may take a little while to update, so please be patient.

🌿 All main Variegated rules apply, including your limits on how many varis you can own
🌱 Tail-lengths climbed or pinecones cannot be traded or gifted to other players
🌿 Both owners and non-owners can participate!
🌱 Read through all rules listed for prompts and games before posting. If you do not follow rules of stalls, you will receive no rewards

🌿 There are multiple stalls run by staff where you can answer prompts or play games. You can find links to these in the posts below!
🌱 Different stalls open at different times throughout the week! each day new things may open and close, so keep a lookout for that!
🌿 The event will run for roughly a month, til the end of August. As the event comes to a close, announcements will be posted to remind you to complete any token trade ins you'd like before it's too late.
🌱 Pinecone trade ins can be found here, make sure to trade in pinecones before the event ends or else they will not be usable!
