Soft (Society of Feline Tenacity) is an adoptable feral cat arpg, different from warrior arpgs. We encourage activeness by doing fun prompts and quests so you can obtain rewards and interact with your cats more. There is a unique way to adopt cats, a levelling system, and skill points. I hope that our community interests you and that you will join and experience the fun of this arpg.

• both users must post on the cat’s page
• the original owner must post using the proper form on the archive
• there is a two month cooldown between transferring/gifting cats each time they are being rehomed xxand initial readoption

⊱ xix. to kill off a cat, post the proper form on the archive
⊱ xx. scars and physically-inflicted deafness and blindness will be earned through prompts and quests

⊱ xxiii. soft cats may be transferred out, but their reference on the soft lines may not be used. They would have xxto be remade on different lines and will be considered deceased within soft.



⊱ i. artists may make 1 custom cat for themselves upon hiring
⊱ ii. normal artist custom may only be one of the main 5 sectors
⊱ iii. an artist may make a birthday custom if active, and must confirm with Cloudpelt before posting
⊱ iv. the artist birthday custom may be one of the seasonal founders or any hybrid

⊱ vi. guest artists may only make adopts, not founders or be open for customs
⊱ vii. guest artists may make one custom for themselves upon hiring
⊱ viii. guest artists have one month to make adopts, then a discussion will ensue debating whether or not xxto add them as an offical artist

Artist expectations:

⊱ i. produce quality adopts and be active (will be removed unless talking with Cloudpelt first)
⊱ ii. judge competitions within a month of closing
⊱ iii. making on-oekaki adopts

⊱ v. discuss handing out rus with the rest of the staff
⊱ vi. open no more than 5 custom slots, no more than 2 times a month (resets on first)

ii. setting up a storage

⊱ a storage for Soft is required. it may be created on any cs-appropriate sites, like toyhouse, weebly, cs, etc
⊱ your storage may be made however you like

iii. Leveling Up
now you can begin to participate in the arpg!

⊱ all gangs/chowders start off at level 1
⊱ level up by doing prompts, quests, and tasks
⊱ you need to post on the archive thread with the right form to level up
⊱ it is automatic, and does not need to be confirmed, only if you didnt fulfill the requirements

iv. skill points

⊱ when starting off, your first cat’s stats will be generated using a generator here
⊱ the generator may only be rolled by staff and only once per cat
⊱ they determine a myriad of outcomes of prompts and quests: Health determines how much time you can do quests before you’ll have to retreat due to losing energy and how long you can hold your ground in battle. Strength determines how good you’ll fight and if you can move heavy obstacles. Defense determines how long you can withstand in battle. Speed determines how quickly you can outrun an enemy and how fast you can hunt. Empathy determines how likely it is for npcs to gift you things while questing and how high the chance is for new cats wanting to join you while questing. Longevity determines how long you can do quests before youll have to retreat due to energy loss.
⊱ all sectors have one specific stat that will always have 3 skill points in it
⊱ to obtain more skill points (or SPs), you will need to level up your cat using EXP, which can be gained by quests/prompts/exploring
⊱ once you level up, you can add 12 skill points to any stat, or place them on different stats
⊱ all founders and kits start at level 1
⊱ some special adopts may already be at level 3-5
⊱ Cats’ SPs will be revealed on their page

All cats need 100 exp to level up. if they are level 1 and gain 100 experience, they will level up to level 2. if they gain 100 experience again, they will level up to level 3. it is your own job to keep track of your cats’s exp amount & level.

on each level up, the max amount of SPs you can put into one stat goes up 3, so if you were level 1 but levelled up to level 2, your stats would be something like this: 5/8, 6/8, etc, instead of 3/5 or 4/5. if they leveled yp to level three, their stats would look like this: 7/11, 8/11, etc. that goes for all levels.

for example, if a level one cat levels up to level two, their stats would go from:

2/5 speed
1/5 health
2/5 defense
5/5 empathy
4/5 longevity
2/5 strength

assuming they split the 12 skill points they gained from levelling up into all the stats (+2 stat points in each stat), their stats would now be

4/8 speed
3/8 health
4/8 defense
7/8 empathy
6/8 longevity
4/5 strength



Within the arpg, there are 5 main sectors, or cats. There are nobles, ruffians, saucers, foresters, and travelers. Each come with their own special lineart, genes, and skill points

Ruffian:

living in filthy and dirty environments, like junkyards or abandoned houses. Tough and heartless, they have learned to survive in the harshest of environments. Pride themselves on their survival skills. They will always have a 3 in Strength.

They have the Rex, Hairless, Wirehair, and Lykoi special genes (Normal coat: ReRe | Rere | Rehr – Rex: rere | rehr – Hairless: hrhr | Wirehair: WhWh | Whwh – Normal Coat: whwh – Normal Coat: LkLk | Lklk – Lykoi: lklk)

Saucer:

living in cat cafes or among house folk. They are warmhearted and friendly on the outside, but a suspicious and superstitious lot. They are not too quick to welcome others, but enjoy the company of humans. They have a habit of picking up interesting information and will happily pass it along to a rival gang for the right price. Pride themselves on their ability on gathering information. They will always have a 3 in Empathy.

They have the Bobtail and Tailless special genes (Normal Tail: BtBt | Btbt – Bobtail: btbt – Tailless: MM | Mm – Normal Tail: mm) (Warning: It’s fatal in embryos with two copies)

Forester:

living out in the wild, be it a forest to a field or even a mountain, they are well adapted to the harsh climates of outdoor living and have a great distress of humans. Many tend to stick to themselves and are not keen on helping strangers. Pride themselves on their ability to live without the help of others. They will always have a 3 in Defense.

They have the Amber special gene (Non-Amber: EE|Ee – Amber: ee)

Noble:

living in the upper class portion of the city. Partake in cat shows. They do not wander further than their homes on most occasions, but do get together in ceremonious gatherings to discuss subjects of great concern. A very political group with set views and mannerisms. Pride themselves on their higher education. They will always have a 3 in Health.

They have the Albino and Colorpoint special genes (Full Color: CC | Ccs | Cc – Colorpoint: cscs | csc – Albino: cc)

Traveler:

living wherever their paws take them. The travelers are groups of cats that wander to and fro to their heart's content. Normally a passive and open-minded group, they are not quick to cast out others in need of help. Pride themselves on their ability to adapt to change. They will always have a 3 in Speed.

They have the Curled Ears and Folded Ears special genes (Curled Ears: AcAc | Acac – Normal Ears: acac – Folded Ears: FdFd | Fdfd – Normal Ears: fdfd) (Warning: Folded Ears can be linked to disabling skeletal problems especially in cats with two dominant copies.)

Levelling up your Gang/Chowder is a key aspect of the arpg. It is different from leveling up your cats, but both are equally as important. Levelling up your gang/chowder lets you traverse through the arpg.

i. Levelling up
⊱ forms are found on the archive
⊱ before levelling up, all prior level tasks must be completed

⊱ gangs/chowders are not set up like warrior clans- therefore, there is no set rank for a leader, deputy, or medicine cat. there will be no tasks like “draw or write your leader talking with their deputy”

⊱ Written scenes should be at least 150 words unless specified
⊱ Drawn scenes can be either traditional or digital
⊱ Drawn scenes should be atleast a flat colored headshot unless specified
⊱ in drawn scenes, backgrounds are not needed unless specified

⊱You may only have as many adopted cats as the level says, but you may have unlimited bred cats from the nursery

you may have up to 15 adopted cats

write or draw a scene of your choice
create a personality or history for 2 characters (200+ words)
write or draw your founder patrolling

⊱Custom cats are paid for, and they may only be requested once an artist opens custom slots
⊱Artists may only open customs once all founder forms have been claimed
⊱Artists will announce when they are open on either the artist bulletin, main thread, or discord
⊱Artists can choose who gets the custom slots via any method they want (raffle, fcfs, etc)

⊱You may only get one custom per month, but if your form isnt claimed you may order again when slots are opened
