*Throughout this rules page and other pages associated with this adoptable, the designs created on these linearts are referred to as Cottontails. Any rules referring to 'Cottontails' is only regulating this adoptable community's designs and character designs based off/inspired by real-life cottontail species.

Failure to abide by the rules below will lead to a gentle reminder or a warning. Repeatedly breaking rules will result in a temporary or permanent ban from the adoptable. Users that are permanently banned may not use their Cottontail's original Oekaki art and are not allowed to claim their design as a Cottontail. Furthermore, they may not enter for more Cottontails or participate in related threads.

General Rules
　✧ All CS rules apply.
　✧ Do not create a rabbit character and claim it is a Cottontail from this adoptable community.
　✧ Treat each and every person with respect and kindness. No insulting/guilt-tripping.
　✧ If you have an issue with a community member, your concerns may be brought to anyone on the staff team.
　✧ You may not edit your Cottontail's original Oekaki art. The only exception is cropping off the reference box.
　✧ Stealing/claiming other users' Cottontails as your own will not be tolerated.
　✧ Do not post reminders on unjudged adopts. You may message a mod so they can remind the artist if it's been over a week.
　✧ Most adopts and kits will have a designated sex - though Cottontails are allowed to identify however the owner wishes!
　✧ Cottontails have 5 breeding slots each. These slots may be exchanged among community members.
　✧ On FCFS adopts/breedings, the first correct and unedited form will win. Editing is not fair to other people.
Trading Rules
　✧ Trading a Cottontail for other Cottontails, items, or slots is fine. You may also gift your rabbits/items/slots.
　✧ Selling Cottontails for anything outside of the adoptable [C$, pets, items, USD, etc] is prohibited.
　✧ When a Cottontail is traded/gifted, both users involved must post on the original adopt thread to confirm.
　✧ After a trade/gift involving rabbits, the new owner of each Cottontail must PM me so the archives can be updated.
　✧ After a trade/gift involving items, both users involved must PM me so the item bank can be updated.
　✧ Trades are final. You may ask for a trade-back, but the other person should not be attacked if they don't want to.
Hutch Creation
　✧ Creating a hutch [storage page] is not mandatory for general adopting, though it is required to use the nursery.
　✧ The following must be included for a hutch page to be valid: Name, sex, number, adoption page, and all 5 slots.
　✧ Everything other than the required info is up to you! You could include an image of the rabbit, their personality, etc.
　✧ A hutch may be put wherever you wish. For example, a CS thread, Wix website, or toyhou.se folder are all fine.
　✧ The 5 slots [unused, link to the litter, or who it's reserved for] should be updated whenever a slot is given away/used.
　✧ Make sure the name of your hutch isn't already being used - you can search the hutch archive to check.

There may be more rules on the other threads. Read through the first post of the thread you're on and you should be good to go!

Some of our rabbits have exhibited different traits than your average bun! Here's what we've discovered so far.

No rarity:
　Artist style choices [eyelashes, line highlights, etc], accessories, different pupil shape, whiskers, scars, custom-lined
　- Up to artist discretion
Standard:
　Unedited lineart, natural colors [mammal colors like brown, black, etc]*
　- Will always pass in breedings unless overwritten by other traits
Common:
　Facial expression edits, heterochromia, upward ear edits, colored sclera [off-white not included]
　- 40% chance of passing in breedings
Uncommon:
　Lop ears, fur edits, helicopter ears [one up and one down OR both out to the sides]
　- 25% chance of passing in breedings
Rare:
　 size edits, other animal ears [goat, bat, etc], teeth, missing body part [1 max], nub horns/antlers
　- 15% chance of passing in breedings
Very Rare:
　Wings, unnatural colors [non-mammal colors like purple, green, etc]*, additional eyes, large horns/antlers,
　- 10% chance of passing in breedings
Legendary:
　Magic/elemental properties [gems/feathers/scale/plant growth, etc]
　- 5% chance of passing in breedings

*Deciding whether a color is natural or unnatural is up to the artist. 'Natural' mammal colors that are on the brink
of being unnatural (such as more saturated reds) may be listed as natural but pass more dulled down in breedings.

If both parents have the same trait, the passing rate is doubled. For example, if both parents have
lop ears, each kit would have a 50% chance at getting them, rather than the 25% chance.
