[ RULES ]
- At this time, users may own 10 total Kiens. This will be increased.
- Even in the community Discord, you must follow CS and Kien rules.
- Be respectful and kind at all times. Bullying will not be tolerated here.
- You may gift Kiens or trade Kiens for other Kiens, or sell them for what you bought them for.
- Upon rehoming a Kien, make sure to message the proper archivist and post on the thread!
- There is an ownership cooldown of two weeks before you are capable of rehoming a Kien.
- As of 9-29-2020, if you are ever banned from Kientra, your Kiens will be rehomed.
- Make sure to check out all adopts to see if they're still open or not before entering!
- Please do not alter your Kien's design in any way unless transferring them out.
- Please listen to any and all warnings given to you by a Kien staff member.
- Do not pester or prod staff about adopts. They will be put out in time.
- Do not pester or harass an artist about judging an adopt.
- Do not complain or try to guilt-trip if you lose an adopt.
- You may make any AU for your Kiens!

[ TRANSFERRING DESIGNS OUT OR IN ]
- Hounds of Kientra allows you to transfer designs in or out of the species.
- Transferring in from another species is allowed as long as the other species allows it.
- Transferring out to another species is allowed as long as the other species allows it.
- You may only transfer out if you plan on completely leaving the species or CS.
- You may not use Kien lines as a ref once you transfer them out, you must make a new one.
- Designs transferred out can be minorly edited, but you may not continue to refer to them as Kiens.
- You may not transfer out if you have been banned.

[ STAFF PERKS ]
As a thank you, the admin team is awarding items based on your activity while on the staff team.
These awards are given out monthly and can be redeemed, gifted, or traded whenever.

The activity requirement for artists consists of two adopts and/or two litters per month.
The activity requirement for moderators/archivists is frequent general mod/archivist activity per month.

If these requirements are meant, staff will receive one staff custom ticket per month!
These must be approved by an admin, no other staff member can approve staff awards.

Over time, there have been mutations that have sprung up throughout the populations.
As a result, scientists have created a generic scaling system as they encounter these odd traits.

[ STANDARD ]
no edits to lines

[ TRADITIONAL ]
pupil edits, different ears, longer claws, dorsal fur, tongue edit, 'dragon' nose
lion manes, heterochromia, colored sclera, scale patches, small fangs, longer fur [belly/legs]

[ UNUSUAL ]
tailless, saber fangs, tusks, dwarfism, horns, spikes on the body, muzzle edits, hair,
tail nub, multiple tails, no claws, polycaudal, raptor claw [prominent claw on back feet]

[ MYTHOLOGICAL ]
extra eyes, extra limbs, extra ears, halo [rune, etc], chameleon [body color change], gene splice,
wings, different tail, feathered growth, color-changing eyes, magical abilities, elemental aspects

If staff believe you are breaking any of the rules listed above, you will receive the proper punishment.
You will receive a verbal warning when you break a rule twice. Staff will only give up to two warnings.
After that, you will start receiving strikes. The amount of strikes go with what action will be taken.

Kientra has a "three strikes and you're out" policy. We do not tolerate constant rulebreaking or bullying.
By participating in our species, you are confirming to follow each of our rules.

[ ONE STRIKE ]
You will be temporarily muted on the Discord for two days.
You will not be able to participate in adopts or events for a week.

[ TWO STRIKES ]
You will be temporarily banned on the Discord for one week.
You will not be able to participate in adopts, breedings, events, or other topics for two weeks.

[ THREE STRIKES ]
You will be permanently banned from the Discord and all CS threads.
Per our rules, which you agree to follow when participating in the species, your Kiens will be rehomed.

Partial strikes/bans can be given out for special circumstances.
A user can be banned from a specific Kientra thread, such as the nursery, if staff deems necessary.
