What is a Parvus Lynx?

'Parvus' is the Latin word for small, which is exactly what these guys are.

The average Parvus weighs between 3-4kg (6-9 Pounds), and are around 17 cm in height (7 Inches).
Originally created in England in the 1940s, they are a mixture of Lynx, Deer and Munchkin Cat. As such, they have short, stumpy legs, antlers and a lynx like face and head.

Cross-breeding has also led to a variety in markings, as well as other modifications. For example, the original Parvus Lynx's had no tails. However, after extensive breeding with longer tailed cats, this type has almost died out.

Gender Differences
While Parvus Lynxes can be any sexuality, they are still born with either male or female characteristics.

The main difference is their antler shape.

Males have long antlers, used to attract a mate, while females have shorter, more stubby horns.

Cubs are born with stubs, and their horns grow as they age, growing to full size around their second year.

Rarity Guide
Very Common: No Modifications Present, two colour fur limit, natural eye colour.

Common: No Modifications Present, three colour fur limit, natural or unnatural eye colour.

Uncommon: One Modification such as tail edits or items, three colour fur limit, natural or unnatural eye colour.

Rare: Two modifications such as tail edits or items, four colour fur limit, natural or unnatural eye colour.

Very Rare: Any amount of modifications, full six fur colour limit (possibly more), natural or unnatural eye colour, possibly with Heterochromia.

General
Please be respectful to everyone here, if you are found being rude or disrespectful it may result in a ban. This applies to all staff as well.

Do not beg for an adopt or custom. You will get you chance to own one eventually, so please don't harass the staff for them.

Please could you let me know if you change your usename. It'll make everything a lot easier. Thank you.

Owning and Adopting
You may own as many cats as you want.

Please use the forms the artist provides to gain a cat, anything else will be ignored.

Selling
Contrary to the title of this section, Parvus Lynxes may not be sold. As this is a free adoption, it would be unfair for you to sell your adopt when it was given to you for nothing.

If you wish to disown your Parvus, please contact me and your cat will be put up for adption. You will then be able to adopt another cat, but only after a 5 day cool down.

Staff Rules
Please be kind to others.

Please notify me if you plan on making any very rare designs. This will help me keep the balance, we can't have to many very rares, or they'd loose value.

Artists can create 2 custom Parvus' for themselves, only 2.

Staff can enter in Parvus' competitions if they want, however no favouritism please!

Please follow the rules of the rarity guide. If you want to make something outside these rules, let me know.
Permanent artists must make at least 2 adopts a week, and guest artists at least 1 a week.

examples: take a peek in my gallery? I do the best in stars and glitter, I'm doing a metal and steampunk study. ive done equine chimera and merle, you can check those out in my malik entry in my gallery (id paste links but my paste feature isn't working and nor is the keyboard shortcut).
I'm not currently an artist for anyone rn, ive done commissions in the past before however.
other: I'm a highschool student, and I ride horses twice a week (for sport) as well as attend church twice a week, however, ive learned to be quick but efficient, and depending on the task, I can get a number done a week

Have You Any Previous Experience?: As an artist, I haven't had any experience, but I do sometimes make draw and make designs out of chickensmoothie (mostly traditional). As an archivist, I haven't had much experience either, but I have been looking at other species archives and have a good idea/understanding of what they are like.
Other: im mostly active for at least an hour a day, if not more (unless I'm really busy)
