What is a Sea Chimera?

A Sea Chimera (Commonly abbreviated as SC) is a deep ocean-dwelling creature that seems to be a peculiar mix of wolf, fish, and some other things we can't even explain. They have brightly glowing bio-luminescent spots above their eyes and on their shoulders to provide light they need to see, and attract prey. They have a large crystal protruding from their forehead for defence, and long, saber-like fangs.

What does a Sea Chimera eat?

Sea Chimeras are omnivores. They can scrape by on algae and seaweed, but for their full health, they need to eat at least some meat - about equal portions from both meat and plants.

Are there any Sea Chimeras I can own?

Sea Chimeras are rather rare creatures, and won't come up for adoption very often. Sometimes, however, large groups may be found, and go up for adoptions all at once.

Can Sea Chimeras breed?

Yes, they can, but being rather rare creatures, they only can have one pup. More information will be posted in the Sea Chimera nursery.

How do I determine a Sea Chimera's rarity?

There are 6 types of SCs - Very Common (Blue rarity bar), Common (Green rarity bar), Uncommon (Yellow rarity bar), Rare (Orange rarity bar), Very Rare (Red rarity bar), and Legendary (Hot pink rarity bar). A Very Common has only 3 basic colors (different shades may be used) - Fur/Tail, Crystal/Nose, and Glowspots/Eye. A Common has 4-5 colors that may be spread out anywhere through that. An uncommon has 6+ colors that may be used anywhere in the SC. A rare has minor line edits, while a Very Rare has major line edits. A Legendary SC has completely new lineart altogether. Very Rares will generally be 50 SCs, while Legendaries will be 100 SCs. Only mod/artists (both a Mod AND an Artist) are permitted to make VRs and Legendaries.

General Rules
You may only own 5 Sea Chimeras - they tend to get along best in small groups, otherwise they'll start squabbling nonstop.
Please don't spam.

PM the person who created a Sea Chimera if you want to put it up for re-adoption.

Guest Artist Rules
Follow the Artist rules.
Guest artists are hired for one month.
Guest artists may be promoted to full artist upon the end of their term.
You may not line edit anything as a guest artist.
Please do not make anything above a common without permission.
You may not become a Guest Artist without owning at least one Sea Chimera.

Artist Rules
Artists may own 6 Sea Chimeras - Guest artists may not.
Artists may have one custom.
Ask permission from Illuminati Dorito before making anything with line edits!

Mod Rules
- Remember to issue warnings before banning someone!
- Don't ban people from the thread for no reason - only if they make more than the allowed amount of customs (In which case put the custom UFA) or if they break the rules multiple times
- There are 3 types of bans.
Perma-ban
Bans a user permanently from adopting/breeding/revamping any SCs and will put their SCs up for readoption. Artists who are banned in this way are also removed from the list of people who can edit the adoptable. (ONLY USE IN EXTREME CASES)
Semi-perma-ban (or just semi-ban)
A user can't adopt, breed or revamp any SCs for one month.
Basic Ban
A user can't adopt, breed or revamp any SCs for one week.
