Welcome! I'm Wind Frost but just call me Windy. This is a brand-new species, called Zhelkins, and they are forest guardians. Read the post and feel free to PM me or post on the topic about them.

A Zhelkin is a large horse-like creature that has a lion's tail and a zebra's mane. The males have their manes down their back and long horns. The females have no horns and a zebra mane only on their neck and fluffy feet. They live in forests and are the native's sacred spirit animals. Legend says if one Zhelkin is taken from its natural habitat it dies as soon as it reaches somewhere other that their home forest. This forest is called Zhelkinia Forest, and that is the only place you could find them. The natives find it incredibly rare to see a Zhelkin, although they are the closest to ever seeing one. The males are more common around spring, breeding season, as they search for a female to breed with. They mate for life, so if they choose one female, they never part from her, breeding with her every spring. Then when the wait is over, the foals are born in mid-summer.
