► What are the Ochiru?
Ochiru are horse-sized creatures who act as guardians and gatekeepers for the many species that live within the forests of our world. Ochiru are rarely seen by humans, and are known to only show themselves to the pure of heart. They are very fast creatures, striking powerful attacks in quick succession. Ochiru are solitary creatures, and usually stand guard in one single area for the majority of their lives, seeking out and eliminating any possible threats to the creatures within their territory. While being solitary, they are very loyal and caring towards those they trust, and the Ochiru will protect them with their life if needed. Many tribes of humans and animals alike revere these creatures as deities, due to their elusive nature and behavior. Ochiru are usually naturally-colored, and are almost never found with neon or very bright markings.
► How do I get an Ochiru?
To get an Ochiru, you must win it over by showing it that you will be a caring, active owner with it.
The form for all adoptions are fairly similar to one another, but don't worry - it's pretty simple to fill out.
You may own up to 5 Ochiru. If you no longer feel connected to your Ochiru(s), you may PM it's artist and they will put it back up for adoption.

► F.A.Q - Frequently Asked Questions• If I get banned, will you take my Ochiru away?
No, but you will be banned from adopting any more or participating in any events we may hold in the future.
• How do I adopt one?
Go to the Ochiru's page, and fill out the form that is shown in the description.
• I can't make art! How will I get one?
If there is ever a form that requires art, you are free to draw it traditionally, or order art; it doesn't have to be digital. ^^
• Can two members co-own one Ochiru?
Sure! Just be sure to say so on your form if you wish to co-own the Ochiru with another member if you win.
• Can I be a staff member?
No, sorry. If we are looking for staff, i'll put up a form on the main page. ^^
• Can I have a custom Ochiru?
The only way to gain a custom Ochiru is through special contests or events we hold.
• Are they free to adopt? Do I need C$ or CS Pets?
Nope, they are free for anyone to adopt. :)
• Does the person who meets an Ochiru have to be myself if I am the one filling out the form?
It doesn't have to be you, using a character instead of you for your form is fine. ^u^

► Species Information• Features
- Muscular, canine-like build
- Long, horse-like mane and tail
- Sharp talons on each foot
- Short, silky fur
- Large fangs
- Dog-like ears
• Coloration
Ochiru often have naturally-colored fur (Browns, grays, whites, blues, greens, etc.), although can have almost any type of fur pattern.
• Behavior
Behavior will vary between different Ochiru, but they are generally peaceful, benevolent creatures. They display undying loyalty to those they trust, and do not take kindly to anyone viewed as a threat.
As a part of their tradition, all Ochiru will have tribal markings painted on their shoulder at the age of 4 to signify that they are now fully-fledged guardians, and will be assigned a section of the forest to guard.
• Sizes & Lifespan
Ochiru grow very quickly, often reaching adulthood in as little as four years. Their lifespan is recorded to be around 40 to 50 human years, although the oldest Ochiru ever to have been found lived to be nearly 70 years old.
- Newborn (Up to four months) - About the size of a Pomeranian.
- Child (From four months to a year and a half) - About the size of a Shiba Inu.
- Adolescent (From a year and a half to four years)- About the size of a Gray Wolf.
- Adult (From age four and on) - About the size of the average fully-grown horse, although some have been found to grow as large as a moose.
• Breeding
Ochiru do not mate for life - they will remain mates until their offspring have been born, and by then the two usually go their separate ways. The average litter usually only consists of one Ochiru, although in rare cases there may be two offspring in a litter. The mother will stay with her young for around two years, or until the offspring is ready to fend for itself.
-- I will soon implement breeding for the Ochiru; once I can work on the baby lines and such. c:
